khismetixHi Lns23:51
khismetixI'm considering putting Edubuntu on my Compaq presario... recently decommissioned as a winXP SP2 box23:51
khismetixHas 512MB RAM23:51
khismetixKids mostly use firefox and use flash based games on BBC and Barbie.com,etc23:52
khismetixI've actually replaced it as the main desktop computer with (shock horror) an iMac....23:52
khismetixI also plan to put Ubuntu on the iMac (possibly bootcamp + virtualbox or vmware)23:52
Lnskhismetix: cool. Sounds like you'll have some fun!23:53
khismetixHopefully23:53
khismetixAny gotchas ?23:54
khismetixI guess I can try out Edubuntu as a live CD ?23:54
khismetixback in a minute23:54

Lnskhismetix: edubuntu doesn't have a livecd anymore, it's an add-on to ubuntu23:58
khismetixoh right...23:58
khismetixI've just been over at the web site23:58
khismetixThe download seems to be 699MB .. seem correct ?23:58
khismetixI was a bit confused.. it said I need 2 CD images23:58
khismetixbut both links seem to download the same image23:58
Lnstbh i'm not sure, haven't used edubuntu in a long time :p i used it mainly when it had the ltsp integration (and ubuntu didn't) but now it's all just edu apps and themes23:59
Lnsso if ubuntu works, i don't see why edubuntu add-on won't23:59
khismetixwhat's ltsp ?23:59
