[18:57] hmmpf, anybody seen morgs? [23:48] Hi there... my first time in here === ianlittle is now known as khismetix [23:51] hi khismetix [23:51] Hi Lns [23:51] I'm considering putting Edubuntu on my Compaq presario... recently decommissioned as a winXP SP2 box [23:51] Has 512MB RAM [23:52] Kids mostly use firefox and use flash based games on BBC and Barbie.com,etc [23:52] I've actually replaced it as the main desktop computer with (shock horror) an iMac.... [23:52] I also plan to put Ubuntu on the iMac (possibly bootcamp + virtualbox or vmware) [23:53] khismetix: cool. Sounds like you'll have some fun! [23:53] Hopefully [23:54] Any gotchas ? [23:54] I guess I can try out Edubuntu as a live CD ? [23:54] back in a minute [23:55] back again === ianlittle is now known as khismetix [23:58] khismetix: edubuntu doesn't have a livecd anymore, it's an add-on to ubuntu [23:58] oh right... [23:58] I've just been over at the web site [23:58] The download seems to be 699MB .. seem correct ? [23:58] I was a bit confused.. it said I need 2 CD images [23:58] but both links seem to download the same image [23:59] tbh i'm not sure, haven't used edubuntu in a long time :p i used it mainly when it had the ltsp integration (and ubuntu didn't) but now it's all just edu apps and themes [23:59] so if ubuntu works, i don't see why edubuntu add-on won't [23:59] what's ltsp ?
