[00:00] LaserJock: I added my items to the todo for the release notes not sure what should be part of the anounce though (maybe just a link or something) [00:12] stgraber: do you have time to add maybe a sentence for each of those? [00:12] LaserJock: yeah, I'll get that from the blog post I did a few weeks ago [01:06] stgraber: get anywhere? [01:15] LaserJock: doing a few other things, will work on it soon [01:15] stgraber: ok, I'm gonna be gone for a few hours [01:16] stgraber: I'll check it later tonight probably [01:16] k === yoshi is now known as Guest47596 [09:57] nubae1: I've got the release notes and release announcement all ready on edubuntu.org [09:57] nubae1: I uploaded a new banner graphic [09:58] nubae1: if Jaunty is released and if you get to it before I wake up feel free to s/8.10/9.04/ in the header block to make the announcement === yoshi is now known as Guest75276 === nubae1 is now known as Nubae [15:27] hi.when will edubuntu 9.4 be released? [15:28] good question. [15:29] ou, thought it will be released with ubuntu [15:29] it should be available... let me just update the page to refrlect that [15:29] Ah, ok [15:45] if I'm a teacher or something, I'll create some simple quiz or syllabus materials for Edubuntu. Then at least it can attract parents to give Edubuntu a try. [15:53] ok, release notes and all should be up to date [16:36] nubae, congrats to the release [16:37] congrats? Laserjock deserves those, he wrote it all, I just released it by pressing some buttons ;-) [16:38] right, that makes you the official edubuntu release manager :) [16:38] (as opposed ot Laser being the edubuntu main developer and manager :) ) [16:38] heh [16:39] congrats to u for netbook remix... that is looking absolutely awsome [16:42] it is, not my work though [16:42] my personal userbase gets smaller with every release it seems ;) i only adeed the new ARM architecture in jaunty [16:46] * nubae hopes to see some cool arm based notebooks soon [16:46] by end of the year i guess [16:46] they say summer, but i doubt it [16:48] do u get to see some cool pre-market ones? [17:11] well, i only got a ton of boards surrounding me ... no cases [17:11] and they are usually way bigger than what goes to market, but look like a space shuttle control [17:11] (debug boards) === nubae1 is now known as nubae [20:00] * anom1 stumbles out the Jaunty Party room's door, completely drunk. [20:10] ah can someone change the topic? [20:10] ogra? [20:24] nubae: haha..yeah looks like it needs updating! [20:25] I *just* got done installing a new Jaunty on my new PC (core 2 duo 3.0ghz, 4gb ram)... mmmm...haven't had a new computer in so many years [20:31] I can't believe Jaunty recognized all of my hardware. NVidia Geforce gfx, abit wifi, sound, dual NIC...it all just works. WAY easier than dealing with windows drivers!! [20:35] the installer partitioning util is awesome too. Easiest to use yet, even with multiple partitions already on the drive === LaserJock changed the topic of #edubuntu to: Edubuntu - the education version of Ubuntu | http://www.edubuntu.org | wiki: http://wiki.edubuntu.org/Edubuntu || 9.04 is released, see http://www.edubuntu.org/news/9.04-release || Help out with bugs: http://tinyurl.com/EduBugs || LTSP questions? try #ltsp [21:26] greets LaserJock [21:26] I updated the pages, and pointed the downloads page to the release notes [21:27] and editted the main page to remove the upcoming 9.04 features [21:27] let me know if there is anything else [21:28] nubae: oh, excellent [21:28] nubae: that's just perfect [21:28] nubae: thanks for working on that [21:29] no prob... there were some folks in here asking when edubuntu would be released so they pushed me to do it :-) === nubae1 is now known as Nubae1 === Nubae1 is now known as nubae === yoshi is now known as Guest72453
