charlie-tcaGood Morning, BUGabundo16:13
DanaGAnyone know what file sets where the environment var PYTHONPATH is?17:23
geniiDanaG: According to http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=520835   it's someplace like ~/.profile17:27
BUGabundohey charlie-tca DanaG17:27
DanaGfor some reason, custom ccsm didn't work... until I set pythonpath.17:27
DanaGcan someone check $PYTHONPATH  on Karmic or Jaunty for me, please?17:28
DanaGPYTHONPATH was empty for me.17:28
BluesKajDanaG, for questions about ccsm , go to #compiz17:32
charlie-tcaDanaG: how to check it?17:35
BluesKajDanaG, check /usr/bin/17:38
charlie-tcaI don't get anything for PYTHONPATH17:39
charlie-tcait doesn't appear to be set in Jaunty17:40
DanaGah.17:42
DanaGThanks.17:42
kklimondahey BUGabundo17:45
kklimondaDanaG: it is empty by default17:45
kklimondaDanaG: what error did you get?17:45
DanaGCustom-compiled compiz and ccsm:  gave "no module ccm"17:47
DanaGeven though it WAS in site-packages.17:47
kklimondaDanaG: site-packages or dist-packages ?18:01
kklimondaDanaG: Python 2.6 uses dist-packages18:01
kklimonda(well, Python 2.6 in debian)18:02
kklimonda(and ubuntu)18:02
DanaGI'm not sure.  I passed it site-packages, because that's where compiz install thingy put i.18:03
DanaGit.18:03
kklimondaDanaG: than python won't find it..18:06
DanaGah.18:07
DanaGoh yeah, why is the cursor-support not in compiz upstream?18:09
=== elpargo is now known as elpargo|lunch
DanaGMy cursor is now really tiny under compiz, because it's ignoring my cursor size settings.18:09
BUGabundokklimonda: hey18:09
kklimondaDanaG: the best way of creating custom version of any package would be to use current package as template..18:09
DanaGTiny because of high-DPI display.18:09
kklimondaDanaG: if it isn't in upstream then ask on #compiz channel18:10
DanaGoh yeah, I misread my tabs.18:11
DanaG18:11
DanaGHow do you get notify-send not to show a bubble for the full 1 second?18:31
DanaGI have a script that tells me if my ambient light sensor is enabled... but the notification stays up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long.18:31
BUGabundoDanaG: only *after* UDS will that be availble18:32
BUGabundoits one of the topics to discuss18:32
DanaGoh yeah, I've finally set up my laptop to always uefi-boot Ubuntu.18:32
DanaGExample of an app that breaks: quodlibet.18:32
DanaGIt creates new notifications.... so skipping back 5 tracks leaves you with no idea which track you're on.... until it finishes the backlog of notifications.18:33
BUGabundoDanaG: I've filed a bug on that 6 months ago18:34
BUGabundowell not 6 maybe 318:34

setuidI've got a Thinkpad T61p and it runs Ubuntu great... but I'm wondering how challenging it would be to add a second, external monitor to it. Problem here, is that my laptop's LCD display does 1920x120018:49
setuid...and the external LCD panel does 1280x1024.18:50
setuidCan I set up some sort of Xinerama config that lets me use two _different_ resolutions on the same X server?18:50
