[05:28] Does it make sense to respin Mythbuntu now that the "MythTV Frontend does not work with RADEON DRI" problem mentioned in the 9.04 release notes has been fixed by updates? [05:42] DHR, no. We couldn't even if we wanted to [05:42] just install and do the update [05:42] s [05:43] does the bug not interfere with installation? Also, if it is being used as a liveCD (diskless), the bug surely hits. Or do I misunderstand? [05:44] "couldn't" is a convincing argument, or course. [05:44] s/or/of/ [05:45] well the frontend doesn't work, that doesn't mean that the desktop environment doesn't work [05:45] so you can still install and update [05:45] using just the live disk isn't going to work, but that isn't really a diskless setup. [05:46] the live disk is more for testing hardware and such, in which case you can install the fix in the live env and restart X [05:46] but since we can't respin anyway, it's kinda moot [05:47] Interesting that you cannot respin. Is that because the fundamentals are built upstream (Ubuntu)? [05:47] DHR, no, thats because Canonical builds the disks for us [05:47] and they won't respin old disks like that [05:48] tgm4883: thanks for your helpful answers. [05:48] DHR, np [05:49] I'll go see how the live cd works on my old Fedora Core 5 Myth Box. === bogus is now known as Guest93468 [09:28] Anyone has mythbuntu setup using viewsat [10:17] hello all, im having some trouble when mounting my usb external harddrive over the network.
