[08:53] thorwil: hi... [08:54] hi! [08:56] thorwil: how fast do icon sets generally get done? when was breathe idea started? when would a realistic completion be? [08:58] macvr, most sets have a rather limited number of icons. if you want to cover everything like tango and oxygen, we are talking about years, i think [08:58] macvr, the people involved with tango or oxygen can tell you much better [09:01] macvr, could have been about august 2008 that Cory first mentioned the idea, not sure. you could check the mailing list archive for the first public anouncement. or check the creation date of the main Breathe wiki page [09:04] macvr: i'd say a good year at least, yeh... if you watch carefully, very few icon themes are complete enough for actual use, and they're all old [09:44] thorwil: SiDi ... thanx guys... i think i'll concentrate more on the quality of what i'm submitting , rather than the speed... i was actually worried i was slow :P [09:48] thorwil: regarding the mime base... the initial empty.svg was dog eared.. hence i maintained it.. [09:48] macvr, question everything!! ;) [09:49] thorwil: so a paper without the dog ears and looking like that? [09:50] thorwil: also.... i dont think its dog ears actually, its just that the paper is having wind blown at the bottom... :P [09:51] macvr, wind doesnt result in a hard fold [09:51] i dont think its a hard fold... see the shadow below the fold? if it was a fold there would be no shadow [09:52] thorwil: ^ [09:52] macvr, there's no curve, so it's a hard fold [09:53] thorwil: that i have to agree, adding the curve would make it correct [09:55] thorwil: check again... it actually has a curve... :) [09:58] macvr, there's another problem with your base. it's not straight on, so we would have to distort everything painted on it. that's not feasible [10:00] 0.o http://www.yourlogomakesmebarf.com/ === ziroday is now known as zeroday === zeroday is now known as ziroday` === ziroday` is now known as ziroday [12:43] hi! can someone help me out with a screenshot? [12:43] I'm trying to fix a Ubuntu/Firefox bug [12:43] andreasn, hmm? [12:43] can someone take a screenshot of Firefox using the Human theme [12:44] of a tab and of the file menu [12:45] why can't you do it yourself? :P [12:45] because I broke it :) [12:46] so I need to figure out if it's using the 8x8 or the 12x12 [12:47] * SiDi got a custom FF theme and cant reboot FF, sorry [12:47] you want the "Close tab" icon of the file menu ? [12:47] yes [12:47] or, well, I need to figure out what size is used on the tabs [12:50] damn [12:50] cant upload [12:52] http://imagebin.org/52119 [12:53] that shows the bug I'm trying to fix, I'm trying to get it to be the same size as on the menu [12:53] on the tab I mean [12:55] pole emploi ... [12:56] zniavre: yeh :D [12:56] but if you know someone who recruits for this summer, let me know ;) [12:56] sorry i believed i was in regular french room [12:59] i can't works im not allowed to [13:00] how can you be not allowed to work ? [13:01] mommy told not to [13:01] ;) [13:02] handicap (do not know in english [13:03] you're disabled, in english [13:05] im wasted [13:05] :o) [13:05] ^^ [13:06] how old are you btw, zniavre ? [13:07] 38 === dashua__ is now known as dashua [18:36] macvr: what ubuntu version do you use ? [18:38] SiDi: 9.04 [18:38] * macvr wonders what SiDi is up to? [18:39] eating :P [18:39] macvr: did you try karmic yet ? [18:41] nope... i still have probs with ext4 in jaunty :( [19:01] macvr: the kernel shipped with Jaunty has an ext4 crashing bug (that's usually triggered from file deletes). I noticed that bug to be fixed with an update to the kernel (I use the proposed updates, so the proposed kernel may have been what fixed it) [19:04] psyke83: actually the performance is worse from ext3, i'm not sure why this is...i think its because i did a inplace upgrade from ext3 , and part of the files are still in ext3 and not yet refreshed! [19:04] psyke83: have u tried e4defrag? [19:04] i wan to use it for refreshing files [19:05] I didn't do an in-place upgrade, so I'm not using a hybrid ext4 filesystem [19:05] I haven't tried e4defrag, last time I checked it wasn't packaged in Jaunty or Karmic [19:06] psyke83: its not there , but i thought of using this guide> http://polishlinux.org/apps/cli/ext4-defragmentation-with-e4defrag/ but it went over my head :( [19:07] noone endorses damage done to your data [19:07] ;) [19:07] macvr: it seems to make more sense to backup your home directory to another drive/partition and reformat [19:07] psyke83: my / is in ext3/4 hybrid state... would reinstall of the packages convert them to ext4? [19:08] SiDi: i havent lost any data :P .... yet [19:08] possibly, but I think it'll miss a lot of files untouched (and therefore not using the ext4 features) [19:08] *leave, not miss [19:09] psyke83: i thought of a reinstall, just lazy ... maybe for karmic [19:09] well, alpha 2 of karmic is coming in the next day or so... you have time to decide ;) [19:09] or atleast when karmic becomes beta [19:10] right, it may be better to wait if you're looking for stability [19:10] not alpha! i'll have to reboot for all the updates!
