[01:25] The recent kernel upgrade to 2.6.28-13 broke my poulsbo drivers from the ubuntu-mobile ppa (I'm on a dell-mini-12). If I run from 2.6.28-13, I have to run in vesa mode with low res. I can boot from the previous kernel (2.6.28-11) but then my broadcom wireless drivers don't load for some reason. Any ideas how to get out of this situation? [01:49] You can use psb-kernel-source to compile the psb kernel module for -13 until I get around to fixing it [01:50] Ok -- I just tried that and got an error about not being able to find create_linux_pci_lists.sh [01:51] Or rather "Can't open ./create_linux_pci_lists.sh" was the error. [01:51] Jaunty or Intrepid? [01:52] jaunty [01:52] I'll look at that, that's odd [01:53] I found a posting online of someone saying to install psb-kernel-source so it looks like it worked for them (http://mok0.wordpress.com/2009/05/25/ubuntu-on-the-dell-mini-10-2/) [01:56] Indeed [01:57] Ah ha [01:57] I don't copy it in [01:57] Eureka? [02:00] I dunno yet [02:00] Gotcha. Let me know if there's something I can patch/test from my end. [02:02] I'm preparing a new upload to the PPA. It will also more than likely -13 to build itself [02:03] great! [02:26] thinkle79: Sorry, got distracted by the thing on my desk that collects dust and occasionally makes noise [02:26] No problem. [02:30] thinkle79: New psb-kernel-source source package uploaded to the PPA. [02:36] Now I'm stuck with a different error, but perhaps this is just an error trying to get the broken package removed -- "Loading new psb-kernel-source-4.40 DKMS... Error! Could not find module source directory." [02:38] Looking at the build log, you should be able to use psb-modules, it built against -13 [02:40] Ok -- I'll give that a try. [02:43] Alright, well I'm off to reboot and test it out. Thanks for releasing the fix. [02:43] No problem [02:47] StevenK: The new psb-modules worked like a charm. Thanks again! [02:58] thinkle79: No problem! === stskeeps is now known as Stskeeps
