[07:06] Hi all.. [07:06] This is ashish [07:07] I have just started using ubuntu [07:07] Ashish_newbee, Welcome. [07:07] thanks...Persia [07:08] now I wish, if i could contribute to make it better........... [07:08] can you tell me how to I enroll myself for the QA team [07:08] Thanks, in advance.. [07:09] My recommendation is always just to start doing, and let team membership come to you, rather than trying to join teams first. [07:09] If you're up for testing, take a look at some of the links in the topic. There is always a demand for more testers, and it's a great way to help. [07:09] ohh....can i start like that...??? [07:10] alright..if I can start without Enrollment.....I don't mind doing that... [07:10] thanks....Persia [07:11] It's probably useful to sign up for accounts in a few places. You'll want a launchpad account, and a QA account, but that's all stuff you can do yourself. [07:11] It's also worth subscribing to some mailing lists, to help keep informed about stuff. [07:12] But beyond that, it's mostly a matter of digging in. [07:12] ohh..yeah... === Wajih is now known as MaWaLe === smb_tp is now known as smb [18:02] eeejay: Around? [19:07] I see the rest of the apps, but not the gnome-panel [19:07] juanje, I could see them [19:07] ummm [19:07] juanje, could you please get me the output of getwindowlist() [19:07] juanje, and getapplist() ? [19:08] one moment [19:08] In [9]: ldtp.getapplist() [19:08] Out[9]: [u'epiphany-browser', u'gwibber', u'pidgin'] [19:08] In [10]: ldtp.getwindowlist() [19:08] Out[10]: [19:08] [u'frm#ubuntu-testing', [19:08] u'frmBuddyList', [19:08] u'frmBug588158-guagua(bus)brokeatgcdstrip(general)', [19:08] u'frmGwibber', [19:08] u'frmFrontPage-mago.ubuntu.com'] [19:09] juanje, guess after enabling accessibility, you haven't logged out and logged in once ? [19:09] I did [19:09] few times [19:09] juanje, oops :) [19:09] I've even rebooted [19:09] juanje, wow ! [19:09] juanje, I'm not sure then [19:09] juanje, which Ubuntu version you are using ? [19:09] that's why it seems so weird for me [19:09] juanje, I'm using 9.04 32-bit [19:09] jaunty [19:10] nagappan: the same [19:10] juanje, next try, could you see gnome-panel in accerciser ? [19:10] nope [19:11] I've tried as well [19:11] it shows the same than ldtp [19:11] nagappan: thanks, anyway, I'll keep trying. I have to deconect :-/ [19:11] juanje, I think the issue is in your gnome-panel accessibility related setup, not sure, whom to ping [19:12] juanje, sure [19:12] nagappan: ummmm.... I'll search about it. [23:29] davmor2: I am, what's up? [23:30] do you by any chance have a spare box with an nvidia gfx chip in it? [23:31] I do, but it's a positively ancient nvidia card. [23:32] so it may or may not be a valid test environment. What issue are you looking at? [23:32] sbeattie: the nvidia drivers in hardy .3 seem to only display at 640X480 or 320x240 I just need to know if there are others or if it's my card not being supported, but as the compiz is working I thought it was. [23:33] snazzy effects don't look so snazzy with that poorer resolution
