Herrohi everybody02:51
Herrohaha i thought someone would say "Hi Dr. Nick!"02:55
micahgHi Dr Herro03:01
Herrohahaha Hi Dr. micahg03:03
blaznaznI know this might sound really n00b. But, I just joined the Launchpad group for Bugsquad and I've signed up for the mailing list. How can I get started triaging bugs?03:27
micahgblaznazn: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/HowToTriage03:28
blaznaznThanks03:29
micahgif you have any questions, feel free to ask03:29
blaznaznWhen is this chat room most busy?03:30
micahgit's going 24 hours03:30
micahgblaznazn: do you have any favorite packages?03:44
showardsorry to give advice and disappear - but micahg has a good point: start off with packages you use frequently, read how existing bugs have been triaged, then start helping out with new ones (finding duplicates, finding upstream reports that are similar, asking for required logs, asking to test in Karmic, closing/checking up on old bugs)03:52
showardgood luck and welcome!03:52

blaznaznWhen the reporter answers questions that complete the report in comments, should you leave them as comments or updated the description?19:28
greg-g"completes the report" as in "provides needed information to diagnose the issue"?19:28
greg-gif they are steps to reproduce, sure, update the description. Or if it indicates that it is only for a certain hardware device. Really, updating the description it not a "bad thing" with more pertinent information. Just don't overload it :)19:29
kaihi folks19:43
BUGabundobom fim de tarde :)19:46
BUGabundoogasawara: ping the CPU usage is a bug in metacity. sarvart just confirmed it! thanks20:02

BUGabundoif you have a few minutes I'll need to talk to in a bit20:02
BUGabundogvfs and blueman20:02
seb128I've no clue about blueman, never tried it, so I'm not the right guy to ping about that20:03
BUGabundoseb128: well its not a blueman bug20:04
BUGabundoits a gvfs20:04
BUGabundosomething is not trigging nautilus to open it to browse a phone20:04
BUGabundoseb128: asac can explain better I guess20:04
seb128what about describing the issue rather than mentioning that you have a bug about blueman to say it has nothing to do with blueman 1 minute later?20:04
asacheh20:05
asacBUGabundo: so it mounts gvfs thing for you and nautilus doesnt open?20:05
BUGabundoseb128: I trigged it while testing blueman for asac20:05
BUGabundoasac: seb128: well I see nautilus opening a position on the app bar but then it closes without ever opening a window20:05
asacBUGabundo: lets first discuss before summoning seb ;)20:06
BUGabundoasac: I though we did20:06
asacBUGabundo: i think we discussed it, but i cant remember the details :)20:06
BUGabundoeheh20:06
asacBUGabundo: not even sure we reached a conclusion20:06
BUGabundolet me get the phone and will debug it again20:06
asacBUGabundo: so when you see that, is there anything mounted?20:06
asace.g. reproduce and run mount20:06
asacthx20:06
seb128asac, did you decide between gnome-bluetooth and blueman?20:07
BUGabundook20:07
BUGabundoBT on and applet there20:07
BUGabundoasac: mounting now20:08
asacseb128: all the feedback i got was in favour of blueman; also the code base is really easy (its python) and gnome-bluetooth guy didnt really want to give insight on what he plans to do20:09
BUGabundoasac: seb128 dough! now it worked at 1st :)20:09
BUGabundoguess some update fixed it?20:09
