walleR1cochet, Have you tried to reboot it?01:17
anom01yit shows it is added in the printers sections, and that it is "idle, accepting jobs"01:17

SiDiYes it does14:45
harceszI just had some isues on one install, cant check it on any of the others and wondering if its becouse of my tweaking (I'm trying to set nautilus as the deflt file browser) or is it a system thing14:45
SiDiouch, nautilus14:45
SiDinautilus might want some GNOME daemons to run in order to have auto-mount enabled, but im not sure14:46
SiDifor the permanently connected ones i just put them in my fstab so they're available for all users and during session bot14:46
SiDiboot14:46
SiDi!fstab14:46
ubottuThe /etc/fstab file indicates how drive partitions are to be used or otherwise integrated into the file system. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Fstab and http://www.tuxfiles.org/linuxhelp/fstab.html and !Partitions14:46

cemunalis karmic unstable than debian sid? do you have an idea?18:00
charlie-tcaNever tried sid18:00
cemunalwhat about karmic18:01
charlie-tcaKarmic is alpha, it should be unstable right now18:01
charlie-tcaFor a stable release, you want to use Jaunty 9.04.18:02
cemunalok18:02
charlie-tcaKarmic is not going to be reliably stable for a couple of months. There are many changes in it from 9.0418:03
knomecemunal, i suppose that karmic is more experimental than debians unstable.18:04
knomehello charlie-tca :)18:04
charlie-tcaHello, knome18:04
charlie-tcaKarmic is much more unstable than Jaunty was at this point18:04
knomethat too18:04
charlie-tcaStill can't burn cd-r's, still can't reliably log in daily, etc18:05
charlie-tcaStill working on the new/replacement gdm application18:06
cemunalhttp://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/karmic/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/mini.iso ««« can i install karmic from an ubuntu server to my desktop with this cd?18:08
charlie-tcaIf it is working at this time18:08
charlie-tcaOh, I don't know if you can from your own server18:08
hezyhi guys, something funny just happened to me. in thunar I right-clicked a folder that is located in /user/share/doc and I pressed "send to... Desktop (create link)". a linked was formed, but now I can't remove it18:36
hezyI think this is because the link (like the folder) belongs to the root user, but still how comes I have the power to create a link, but I don't have the power to delete it?18:38
charlie-tcaThe link is owned by root. You will need to go to a terminal, and use sudo to remove18:39
charlie-tcaYou could change it to make yourself the owner, then you could remove it. I think it is done because if you enter the directory, root is the owner of it18:40
hezyyes you are right, I removed it by opening thunar as root, but still I think this is starnge18:41
charlie-tcaRoot owns the directory, therefore, root must own the link, as I understand it18:42
hezywell, so be it...18:42
LaibschHi, do you guys have an idea about https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-terminal/+bug/399558 and what may be causing it? http://launchpadlibrarian.net/29030693/Screenshot.png18:53
charlie-tcaI don't have that issue here in karmic18:55
charlie-tcaAre you running compiz?18:55
Laibschno18:59
LaibschBut I was just thinking it may be composite18:59
LaibschXFCE has its own composite code18:59
charlie-tcaApplications -> Settings -> Window Manager Tweaks -> Compositor19:00
Laibschno, that is off as well19:00
charlie-tcaweird19:00
LaibschBut I know that the terminal in XFCE had transparency19:01
LaibschI think it can be set somewhere else19:01
LaibschQuite possibly something I can't properly see right now ;-)19:01
charlie-tcagot to be. Mine don't have any transparency19:01
Laibschit's a hot candidate for sure19:01
charlie-tcaMight provide the .xsession-errors log and /var/log/syslog just in case19:02
