[00:50] 00:23:28 < yofel> hm, what is one supposed to do with an old bug report about a package that was only released in hardy and intrepid? [00:51] if the package has been removed (not renamed), and its not something we'd do an RC update for, then close it wontfix [00:51] because we wont ;P [00:55] lifeless: it's bug 106396 - I can't check it since the package doesn't exist in jauny and karmic and upstream is unreachable [00:55] Launchpad bug 106396 in bmpx "bmpx close unexpectedly" [Undecided,Incomplete] https://launchpad.net/bugs/106396 [00:56] yofel: https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bmpx [00:56] Deleted in jaunty-release on 2009-03-07 (Reason: #337659, unmaintained, removed from Debian) [00:57] micahg: thx, can you set the bug to wontfix then? [00:58] sure [00:58] well [00:59] there's nothing we can do, right? [01:01] well, *I* don't know how to fix the bug, nor do I know where to search for it, and since upstream can't be reached and the package is officially unmaintained I don't know who could do something about it [01:03] done [01:04] micahg: thank you [01:04] * BUGabundo $ sle -ep; echo load /dev/urandom /dev/eyes [01:04] I should have checked with motu first [01:04] * micahg is checking now [01:07] micahg, this is correct, as lifeless stated. [01:56] hggdh: ok, is that because of the error or becuase the package was removed? [01:56] ubuntu-motu seemed to say that we would do SRUs if it's worthy [04:36] ping hggdh [05:53] how late it is [05:53] wow === micahg1 is now known as micahg [05:57] Fantasie in D minor, i was in a good mood, stupid minor chords :P [07:12] good morning bugsquad [09:59] hi, can you please confirm https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/403935 [09:59] Launchpad bug 403935 in totem "Totem, VLC, kaffeine - pauses playback of movie, when switching screen (i.e. VT-9)" [Undecided,New] === yofel_ is now known as yofel [11:09] all sound stop when I switch between users. report this bug against what package? === ogra_ is now known as ogra [11:15] ok never mind it was dupe of 309724 [11:21] I guess. [18:26] james_w: yesterday [18:26] I've got some of the same error [18:26] my guess is that the update caused it to spit out a bad file [18:27] and it sounds like that was cached [18:27] yes, mine was probably running during the upgrade === yvan300 is now known as the_thin_man === micahg1 is now known as micahg === ejat is now known as e-jat [21:11] ola [21:55] ola BUGabundo [21:56] atao nino [23:21] ntu-bugsquad/d3bb0a4cbd317fbf2111e83dc1d52504f9d636de === BUGabundo1 is now known as BUGabundo [23:27] sirs, I saw a report that have a post-installation script with broken packages, but main package is not in oficial ubuntu repository (daemon-tools) [23:28] what status shoul be marked? can I marked as invalid or ..? [23:38] Launchpad bug 404339 in ubuntu "Include Canon MP210 printer drivers" [Undecided,New] [23:49] anyone around? [23:49] whats up l3dx [23:49] hi [23:49] some are l3dx [23:50] I've just started reading over the howtos\buglists and I've found a openoffice bug, but I can't quite figure out if I should upstream it [23:51] that is, I've found a bug filed by someone else [23:51] so..I was just hoping for some advice [23:53] should I file it over at oo.org and what should I do about the "ubuntu bug" [23:55] l3dx: talk to ogra [23:55] there are many restritions from SUN [23:55] for our bugd [23:56] BUGabundo: ok :) [23:56] BUGabundo: calc is the maintainer of openoffice.org [23:56] l3dx: what bug is it? [23:56] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/404001 [23:56] Launchpad bug 404001 in openoffice.org "wrong result of var() function" [Undecided,New] [23:56] oopss [23:56] sorry ogra [23:56] I meant to say calc [23:57] * BUGabundo slaps himself and goes to get a glass of water [23:57] l3dx: Did you say you had tested it? [23:57] no, I've not [23:57] as I said, I'm 100% fresh in the game [23:58] A good first step is to ensure the bug is reproducable, ideally with the development release of Ubuntu. [23:58] ok, so I should do a dist-upgrade right away? [23:59] though, this bug is for 9.04 [23:59] l3dx: Right, but it likely wouldn't be fixed in that release. Karmic is still an alpha, while I run it w/o problems the bug could be tested with a Live CD.
