[19:17] I figure this has been asked a few hundred times [19:20] sure [19:21] lots of ppl [19:32] well I got it installed but I cannot get it to launch the site to add this computer... [19:34] have been searching for about an hour now for some instructions .. don't suppose anyone can point me to a good page .. [19:35] sudo apt-get install ubuntuone-client ubuntuone-client-gnome ??? [19:36] no I have it installed and running I just can't get it to connect [19:37] according to the page it is supposed to launch (on the first load) a page to add this computer as a device that can connect [19:37] It will not call the launcher directly to the page [19:38] right [19:38] it need network-manager [19:38] T_T [19:38] for why ??? xD [19:39] i dont talk, what dont.... but why oO [19:39] really? hmmm ok will try apt-geting that [19:39] s/what/that [19:39] and dont it need nautilus? [19:39] for GUI yes, I think [19:39] network manager is already installed [19:40] lol) [19:40] it will not work on my eeepc [19:40] grrrrrrrrrrr [19:41] I have jaunty on my eeepc I will try that.. but I have jaunty kde on my desktop which is where I wanna do all this from [19:41] some ppl use WICD [19:41] and that doesn't work [19:41] this is just crazy [19:42] it is at least loading now which it woudln't do when I got the invite ... it woudln't put the client in the taskbar [19:49] hehehe eeepc is slow hehehe [19:51] naelr, why? [19:51] eeepc 1000h [19:51] with atom N270 [19:52] i can run few virtualbox3 machines on it) [19:52] a few? [19:53] LOLOLOLOL [19:53] apt-build magick yep. [19:54] no not the eeepc [19:55] the ubuntuone not wanting to authorize this machine in kde [19:56] and I have the original eeepc 701 hehehe [19:56] ubuntuone installed just fine.... on it and went to the page... I am trying to find the token for this machine (desktop) so I can manualy open the page [20:01] hahahahahHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH H YOUR NOT GONNA BELIVE THIS [20:02] where I dual boot this box into windows... both windows and linux don't like the time. .and one of them really messes with my time ... so I just ntpdate when I boot into linux... it was my time.. time was way off.. [20:02] it said 11 am and it is 3 pm here... ubuntuone site didn't like that ... so it woudln't hand out a token [20:06] known bug [20:07] wind and linux store the date in diff ways into the bios [20:07] *buntu has ways to determine that and work around [20:07] if your system didn't, you must have something out of the ordinarie [20:08] there's a flag you can change to make that fixed [21:49] don't suppose you know the flag? [21:49] if not no biggie I will go look for it .. [21:50] also have you have ubuntuone not download all files... it has been open and updating everything I have uploaded since that last time I posted.. and 2 files have not downloaded.. is their a command to force a resync? [23:42] naelr: if all else fails, disconnecting and then reconnecting should prompt a sync, though it will take a while to perform
