[20:57] dobey, you can't [21:00] :( === _thumper_ is now known as thumper [22:10] morning [22:13] Is this the right channel to ask a question about building and running LP? [22:14] yes [22:15] I've followed the guide, but am getting stuck at $ make schema [22:15] It asks me to run utilities/link-external-sourcecode, but that errors saying the parent branch wasn't specified and couldn't be discovered [22:16] hmm.. [22:16] I've not read our new guide [22:16] can you point me to the page you've been following [22:16] ? [22:17] https://dev.launchpad.net/Running [22:18] I'm doing this on a clean VM of jaunty, fully updated, so I don't think there should be any sort of conflicting configuration issues. [22:21] can you pastebin the following: du -h --max-depth=2 ~/launchpad [22:21] sure, http://paste.pocoo.org/show/133342/ [22:23] cszikszoy: which directory are you running make schema in? [22:24] devel [22:24] cszikszoy: which directory were you running link-external-sourcecode from? [22:24] same dir [22:24] * thumper looks at the script [22:26] cszikszoy: try this: ./utilities/link-external-sourcecode ../../lp-sourcedeps [22:27] Wanted to link ../../lp-sourcedeps/download-cache to ./download-cache but source does not exist [22:28] I tried giving a couple of different paths to link-external-sourcecode, but still no luck [22:28] damn [22:28] * thumper thinks some more [22:28] btw, I don't actually use any of these scripts [22:28] too set in my old ways [22:29] :) [22:30] ok [22:30] you are missing the download cache in the lp-sourcedeps [22:30] but the rocketfuel-get script puts it there [22:30] so [22:30] ./utilities/rocketfuel-get - from the devel directory [22:32] I get a permission denied (publickey) error, but I think I remember reading in the script that that was OK [22:33] um [22:33] does lp have your public ssh key? [22:34] no [22:34] it needs to [22:34] you should care if you get permission denied (publickey) [22:37] hm, I figured I didn't need it because I wasn't writing anything to LP, just branching, and I saw this: http://paste.pocoo.org/show/133347/ [22:39] hi thumper [22:40] hi beuno [22:40] cszikszoy: hmm [22:40] cszikszoy: have you done a bzr launchpad-login before? [22:44] thumper, no, but rocketfuel-setup asks for it [22:45] cszikszoy: if you run `bzr launchpad-login`, what does it say? [22:45] just tried, it shows my lp name, same one I gave to rocketfule-setup [22:47] right [22:47] this is why it is complaining [22:47] if you've told bzr your launchpad login, it tries to get things over bzr+ssh [22:47] and since it doesn't know your ssh public key it fails [22:47] you have to either: [22:47] * tell LP your ssh public key [22:48] * tell bzr to forget your launchpad-login [22:48] I see. Well, I've made a ssh key for this vm, and given LP this pub key for my lp-login [22:48] Rerunning rocketfuel-get right now, and it looks like it's branching something [22:50] great. Looks like it's creating the "download-cache" directory in lp-sourcedeps. [22:55] thumper, thanks for the help. It appears to be downloading the sourcedeps right now, so hopefully everything will work this time. [22:55] cool [23:25] spm: ping [23:25] thumper: heyo [23:25] spm: what's the status of the svn patch for the imports? [23:25] Ahhhh. [23:26] I wondered why the import machines were gone. [23:26] spm: we have halted the git imports for no reason that makes sense to them [23:26] I should have realised. [23:26] wgrant: :) [23:29] spm: you looking or ignoring? [23:29] thumper: he's hating [23:29] thumper: on you [23:29] elmo: :) [23:29] elmo: how you doin? [23:30] thumper: frazzled [23:30] thumper: was looking :-) am starting up the importds now [23:30] spm: fantastic [23:30] tho... code.aundpad is a nice fail... [23:31] ok, with that, I'm taking the car to get a warrent# [23:31] thumper: should be all systems go; am logging in to same to verify [23:32] spm: cool [23:35] thumper: all looks green
