clintbuntuHello, anyone here?05:41
AnnonyMouseHi guys. trying to configure a multi-seat X config, & I've an ATI Radeon cast with multiple outputs: VGA, DVI & HDMI. the xorg.conf file requires the definition of the PCI device, but logicall they should all share the PCI address, as they are on the same card. how can I find out what the ID's are for the outputs?07:39
didrocksvuntz: about the fdo default app spec: for sure (even if I'm not really available as I'm currently in vacation). As I think we advanced nearly to a good solution, I can maybe draft a spec proposal so that they don't have to catch up with the whole thread?11:27
vuntzdidrocks: the thing is that sbrabec already a proposal :-)11:45
vuntzdidrocks: with a first implementation11:45
vuntzalready had11:45
didrocksvuntz: oh really? sorry. I didn't read your link yet, just opened the tab :)13:19
didrocksvuntz: I will read it. I hope he wrote a fdo spec before and that everyone agrees on it :)13:19
didrocksvuntz: ok, I read it now (I was on the train the first time and was afraid of reading a long thread, but he had no reply). So, we tried to make something slightely different. I will make a first draft of a spec and mail it to xdg as well as to sbrabec to avoid using static files. Does it sound correct to you? (/me is happy to go back to the Alpes for holidays ;))13:28
vuntzdidrocks: I have no opinion :-) Just want everybody to talk to everybody14:08

* asac feels better17:04
ArneGoetjeasac: but I almost missed my flight in Paris...17:04
asacyeah17:05
asaci almost missed my flight in frankfurt17:05
asacour start got delayed by one hour17:05
asacand they dropped us by bus in a different terminal17:05
asacso i had to go through security etc.17:05
ArneGoetjeasac: had to transfer between terminals and that took quite a while... :(17:05
asaci think they dropped us there because some with a pretty tight connection flight had to go to that terminal17:06
* asac is a bit angry about that17:06
ArneGoetjeasac: but I got rewarded for my later arrival at the check-in counter in Paris... :) got upgraded into Business class. Yay! :)17:06
asacArneGoetje: wow. so next time you know what to do ;)17:07
ArneGoetjeasac: yep :)17:07
asac13hours biz class. it cant be much better ;)17:07
asaci guess you could sleep well then :)17:07
ArneGoetjeasac: he he... well, wasn't able to sleep, due to west to east flight17:08
asaci guess in biz class you dont even want to be asleep - rather consume the service etc.17:08
asacnice17:09
ArneGoetjeasac: started in the early morning, so on arrival it was basically dinner time according to Paris time...17:09
asacyeah17:09
ArneGoetjeasac: he he... yeah, food is much better than economy and a few drinks for free which aren't available in lower classes are also a nice treat. ;)17:09
asacsounds good17:10
ArneGoetjeasac: yep. but now I'm really tired and going to bed17:10
ArneGoetjeasac: as I skipped the night on the flight, I basically had a very long day. :)17:11
asacArneGoetje: sleep well17:12

RainCTHi17:39
istazhi17:39
RainCTDoes someone know what name the file gnome-network-scheme.desktop has on Ubuntu?17:39
istazRainCT: what's the content of the file?17:40
istazRainCT: http://paste.debian.net/43735 is that this?17:40
istazif yes the filename is /usr/share/applications/network-scheme.desktop17:40
RainCTistaz: yeah I think so, thanks17:41
Laneychrisccoulson: I can pass you a preview deb on the sly20:04
Laney...do you have a PTP camera to test with it?20:04
LaneyI think import functionality might be broken but it could just be my phone20:05
chrisccoulsonLaney - i have a PTP camera, but it doesn't work in PTP mode anyway20:05
chrisccoulsonthat's a gphoto bug i think20:05
Laneyoh?20:05
chrisccoulsonmy camera's product ID is commented out in gphoto ;)20:06
Laneyhttp://paste.ubuntu.com/250467/20:06
Laneyoh, that part20:06
chrisccoulsonyeah, i'm not too sure what that error means. i'm not all that familiar with how gphoto works20:08
Laneyme neither20:08
Laneyit could well be my phone20:08
Laneybut testers are hard to come by20:08
Laney#ubuntu+1 time20:08
chrisccoulsonheh, yeah, i'm sure there will be somebody who has a working PTP device20:09
Laneygthumb dies when I try to do it...20:09
chrisccoulsonit might be a gphoto issue as opposed to a f-spot one then.20:10
chrisccoulsonare you sure the camera is not being mounted with gvfs? that will stop other applications accessing it using libgphoto20:11
chrisccoulsonalthough you'll still be able to access it with the gphoto:/// URI20:11
Laneyf-spot unmounts before attempting to use it20:12
chrisccoulsonah, ok, i didn't realise that20:12

superm1chrisccoulson, ping, re gsd 2.27.5-0ubuntu1.  why'd you add pulseaudio to recommends?21:15
superm1looks like it's pulling in pulseaudio for xubuntu and mythbuntu builds unintentionally now..21:15
superm1(http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/germinate-output/mythbuntu.karmic/desktop)21:15
superm1hm actually it's only pulled in by mythbuntu builds.  not sure how xubuntu would have blocked it?21:20
chrisccoulsonsuperm1 - pulseaudio is added as a recommends now because the media-keys plugin uses it for the volume buttons21:41
chrisccoulsonthe volume buttons will not work with pulseaudio anymore21:41
chrisccoulsons/with/without21:41
chrisccoulsonbrb, major display corruption here!21:42
chrisccoulsonback now :)21:44
