[18:06] heno: very nice, thanks. :) Lovely weather, considering it's the middle of winter! [18:07] here it's actually too hot today ... [18:07] Marjo and I will co-chair today's meeting so he an see how we run these [18:07] so ... [18:08] #startmeeting [18:08] Meeting started at 12:08. The chair is heno. [18:08] Commands Available: [TOPIC], [IDEA], [ACTION], [AGREED], [LINK], [VOTE] [18:08] welcome everyone! [18:08] [TOPIC] Introducing Marjo -- heno [18:08] New Topic: Introducing Marjo -- heno [18:09] as mentioned last week, marjomercado is the new Ubuntu QA lead at Canonical [18:09] he's been learning the ropes this week [18:09] plenty of information to digest as you can imagine [18:10] please make him feel welcome! [18:10] marjomercado: do you want to add anything [18:10] ? [18:11] Thanks Henrik [18:11] I look forward to working with all of you folks in the next few weeks and months [18:11] I have had a great welcome from everyone so far. Thx! [18:12] an 'interesting' time to start as we approach the release ;) [18:12] ok, let's get on with our regular items [18:12] [TOPIC] UbuntuBugDay highlights -- pedro [18:12] New Topic: UbuntuBugDay highlights -- pedro [18:13] alright so on the previous Thursday we had a bug day based on Notify-OSD [18:13] as we promised to the desktop experience folks [18:13] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBugDay/20090813 [18:14] we cleaned up a lot the product and as i promised them during the sprint i'm going to keep an eye to that during next weeks [18:15] the triage hero that day was clearly Pedro himself :) [18:15] ~71 were triaged, so thanks to Kamus, MacSlow and arnaud for helping out [18:15] ;-) [18:15] Tomorrow! we're having a bug day based on Rhythmbox [18:15] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBugDay/20090820 [18:17] i know you like music guys, so if you have some spare minutes join the fun there and triage a bug [18:17] triage a bug win a hug, right ? ;-) [18:17] sounds good, thanks pedro_ [18:18] [TOPIC] SRU testing -- sbeattie [18:18] New Topic: SRU testing -- sbeattie [18:18] Between the distro sprint and the karmic alpha release over the last two weeks, SRU activity has been somewhat diminished. [18:18] That said, a jaunty kernel update did make it to -updates in the past week, along with a few other packages. [18:18] There were security updates to all kernels, so respun kernel SRUs are coming for hardy and intrepid. [18:18] Thanks to IdleOne, John Lang, Leonel Nunez, Imre Gergely, John Veness, and our own bdmurray for testing out proposed packages and reporting feedback. [18:19] \o/ [18:19] As always, we welcome any assistance people can offer in testing out packages in proposed. [18:19] that's all I've got on the SRU front. [18:19] sbeattie: what's the current backlog? perhaps we should have queue and throughput numbers for each open release at these meetings? [18:20] heno: the queues are relatively small currently, but yes, I'll start tracking those. [18:20] ok, great? [18:20] Any other topics? [18:21] bdmurray: where did we get to with the 200 bug analysis from the sprint? has there been further follow-up? [18:22] heno: not yet [18:22] cr3: any feedback from Scott or Dustin on the usefulness of test attachments? [18:23] heno: nope, I'll follow up with 'em [18:23] ok, thanks [18:24] marjomercado: any questions at this point or anything to add? [18:24] no, thx; [18:24] ok, short meeting! [18:24] #endmeeting [18:24] Meeting finished at 12:24. [18:24] Oh, I have a request: I'm doing a UDW presentation on the qa-regression-testing tests and how to add testcases; if anyone comes across a bug/test that would make a good example, please pass it along. [18:25] sbeattie: any kind of bug? [18:26] sure, so long as the testcase for wouldn't be too complex to write. [18:26] thanks. [18:28] okay, I'll keep an eye out [18:30] * heno wanders off === fader is now known as fader|away === fader|away is now known as fader === lukjadOO7 is now known as lukjad007 === fader is now known as fader|away === imlad is now known as imlad|away
