(Still working on ethernet) [10:13] amitk, not before A5, no, we can release note the ethernet breakage and recommend USB NICs === mdz_ is now known as mdz [10:16] amitk, btw dove Z0 isnt produced or shipped anymore, people that have a Z0 will recieve a Y0 at some point, i really dont see a reason to even have Z0 supported [10:19] * amitk shrugs. He doesn't have a marvell board [10:20] heh === fddfoo is now known as fdd === cjwatson_ is now known as cjwatson [13:22] Hello all, can someone take a look...https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta/+bug/418509 [13:22] Malone bug 418509 in linux-meta "[Karmic] Hangs during shutdown" [Undecided,Confirmed] [14:30] bjf-afk, it seems to me that initramfs support is currently turned off in the dove kernel (CONFIG_BLK_DEV_INITRD), can you change that for me :-) (I'll file a bug a little later today) [14:40] ^- amitk rtg [14:41] NCommander, patience, bjf-afk should be online soon. [14:41] rtg, I was told to ping you and amitk as well === ivoks_ is now known as ivoks === bjf-afk is now known as bjf [15:07] NCommander, will git it it first thing this a.m. [15:10] bjf: heh. pun intended? [15:10] amitk, nope, finger memory [15:10] amitk, and I'm not really awake yet [15:31] * amitk wonders if there is an easier way to find all the files that were compiled in the kernel than grokking all the .*.cmd files in a kernel build. === maco_ is now known as MsMaco [16:44] bjf: you might consider copying the entire fsl config, dumping it into dove and running a make oldconfig. That ought to give you all the distro-common configs. You can then append that to the dove configs and run a oldconfig again. [17:01] amitk, will give that a try, however I turned on something yesterday (in HID) that caused my kbd to stop working which I need to figure out [17:03] bjf: actually 'cat doveconfig >> fslconfig; sort fslconfig' will give you a config to work with. You can then resolve the dups. [18:22] amitk, uh, dunno off-hand. chat with one of the developers? [18:22] * amitk wonders why rt73usb and rt2500usb are loaded together on the machine [18:26] amitk, there must be some module dependencies, but I see both rt73 and rt2500 under drivers/net/wireless/rt2x00 [18:30] rtg: they seem to be indepedent drivers. [18:31] 'grep 148f drivers/net/wireless/rt2x00/* | grep 2573' shows the device I have in both drivers though [18:31] amitk, I was thinking more about shared code. [18:32] amitk, but, there doesn't appear to be a dependency in modules.dep [18:32] rtg: sure, they seem to share the rt2x000 code, but two drivers shouldn't have the same USB id listed their device tables, right? [18:33] amitk, you wouldn't think so. who is the maintainer? [18:34] hmm, serialmonkey [18:34] Linville and Ivo Doorn [18:35] amitk, Ivo is probably the best guy to annoy [19:10] hey is the kernel build team daily build on the PPA site legit? [19:50] \msg manjo
