SlickT10Hey guys, I am having problems with any Express card being loaded. Both that I have tried get irq 0. Is there anyone  who can help me trouble shoot this?03:40
SlickT10I have done alllloott of trouble shooting of this card already. I know the problem is card independent.  I have tried this on another computer, same OS, same card.03:43
SlickT10If no one can help me, I could at least use some direction. At this point I don't know where the falt lies.03:43
SlickT10is it a kernel issue? or is there a driver that i should look for the slot itself. If so, I have no idea how to find out more about the slot. In lspci it only shows pci busses etc. no actual device.03:44
ikepanhcirq 0? it shall be a timer interrupt?03:46
SlickT10thats what i was thinking03:47
SlickT10so how is this confusion happening.03:47
ikepanhccould you tell me which driver you using?03:48
SlickT10driver for slot?03:48
ikepanhcdriver for the express card03:49
SlickT10well, after all the research ive done, im pretty sure its not the card drivers falt03:50
SlickT10ive also tried two different cards, neither worked, both appear to get irq 003:51
SlickT10also hotplugging does not work03:51
SlickT10the express card on my macbook pro seems to be completely unsupported, and anything plugged into it only shows up if it is in during bootup03:52
ikepanhcyou mean the slot driver does not send the correct IRQ number?03:52
SlickT10then when the module starts it throws the error.03:52
SlickT10I dont know. as i said, this is where my understanding of OS design breaks down03:53
SlickT10because the slot works in OSX, WINDOWS03:53
SlickT10and the cards I also know to work03:53
SlickT10also, after alot of trouble shooting, the drivers also dont seem to be a problem, since even the live cd works fine on other systems and these exact same cards03:54
SlickT10after all my tests, the difference comes down to this one differing express card slot03:55
SlickT10My question is where does the responsibility lie?03:55
SlickT10http://nopaste.com/p/aL4O6smvv03:56
SlickT10theres the dmesg error03:56
SlickT10ikepanhc: i wish I knew what error -16 is03:57
ikepanhcSlickT10: checking03:57
SlickT10If nothing else, I would like to figure out where is the appropriate place to submit a bug.03:58
SlickT10i dont believe any of the hardware is broken03:59
ikepanhcSlickT10: It does not look like a hardware broken issue, and file a bug on launchpad is always useful04:00
SlickT10ikepanhc, so you think my next best step is to submit a bug to launchpad?04:01
SlickT10i think ive exausted all other resources04:02
ikepanhcyes, and attach all the necessary information04:02
SlickT10thanks, i hope this can be resolved04:03
ikepanhcerrno -16 = Device or resource busy04:07
ikepanhclooks like somebody occupied and resource or another driver has already turned on04:08
SlickT10Ive already tried unloading all related modules, and reloading the modules I need same error 04:12
SlickT10and if its getting irq 0, would that always be busy?04:13
NCommanderrtg, bjf-afk, could we switch the dove images from uImages to zImages?14:11
rtgNCommander, thats easy enough, but you ought to send an email on the k-t list so it doesn't get forgotten.14:15
NCommanderrtg, I have issues with the k-t list. It seems to have any address I send hit hte moderation queue :-/14:17
rtgNCommander, well, whom do you think is the moderator?14:17
NCommanderrtg, *ahem* email on its way :-)14:18

LaibschFor bug testing purposes I'm trying to compile a kernel from mainline17:32
LaibschBut for the live of me, I can't seem to produce an i386 on the amd64 build host17:33
LaibschI've added "--arch i386 --cross-compile -" But I still get an *amd64.deb17:34

bryceogasawara, apw, any chance you guys could build a kernel with the patch for bug 419264?  Rick Spencer is pushing for a fix to this one.  If the kernel patch won't fix it, I may need to downgrade our mesa back to 7.5.18:09
ubot3`Malone bug 419264 in xorg-server "Uses 100% CPU with latest mesa/libdrm update" [Unknown,Fix released] https://launchpad.net/bugs/41926418:09
ogasawarabryce: I'll put together a test kernel.  I'll post a comment to the bug when it's ready.  apw btw is still on vaca.18:11
bryceogasawara, excellent thanks18:12

ogasawaraNafallo: just curious if you're still running the test kernel for bug 367065 and if it's ever reappeared?23:14
ubot3`Malone bug 367065 in linux "ext4: find_group_flex failed, fallback succeeded dir" [Medium,In progress] https://launchpad.net/bugs/36706523:14
Nafalloogasawara: I'm running the kernel, and the text haven't been seen since Aug 26 I'm afraid.23:17
ogasawaraNafallo: ok thanks.  I'm just going to submit it for SRU anyways then.23:17
Nafallo\o/23:17
ogasawaraNafallo: so if it ever does happen again, it hopefully won't spam your logs23:18
Nafallohehe.23:18
