[17:32] <missaugustina> I don't know anything about packaging in ubuntu ;) So I was starting from scratch
[17:32] <missaugustina> I worked as a Release Engineer for about 8 months for InDesign, so I have some experience with packaging
[17:33] <missaugustina> Nathan's feedback has been great. I mainly want to make sure the information is accurate and consistent with how you actually do things.

[17:51] <dholbach> missaugustina: maybe you send another mail to the packaging-docs list about your work so we can all have a chat about it?
[17:51] <missaugustina> dholbach: no problem! Packaging is a really great way to get folks involved with Ubuntu and currently it's pretty difficult to get started.
[17:51] <missaugustina> Yeah I can do that :)
[17:52] <dholbach> packaging is the bread and butter of Ubuntu - even if you just want to work on small fixes, you have to know a bit about it
[17:52] <dholbach> so any way in which we can speed up things is going to be great
[17:52] <dholbach> I have a bunch of others ideas already and it's great to have a forum for that now
[17:52] <dholbach> and some motivated people! :)
[17:52] <missaugustina> I'm glad you put together the list, I felt like I was fumbling around in the dark ;)
[17:53] <missaugustina> I really like writing and helping people that way (hence why I'm on the doc team)
[17:53] <dholbach> I'll try to get some more people involved in this as I feel there's more and more demands
[17:53] <missaugustina> I will put together an email describing what I've been working on and send it out today :)
[17:53] <dholbach> like upstream people that just want to know about our release schedule and how to "push the right buttons to get something done"
[17:53] <dholbach> or people who packaged something in a PPA and want to get it in Ubuntu now
