[04:06] im trying to setup my bc43 wireless card to use wpa2, but when i add encryption, the apply button goes away? [04:06] whats wrong? [06:35] good morning all! [08:43] Morning All [09:10] davmor2, A little feedback on the hang on Kubuntu oem install. For me it seems to be related to the installation of the nvidia binary driver before doing the "prepare for shiping" step and rebooting into user setup. Has anyone nvidia hw and time to verify? [09:10] yeah I'll have a look after [09:49] sbeattie: I posted you my latest cronjob result [10:47] davmor2, what happened with the cronjob? [10:48] sbeattie: updated zsync. So it hopefully no longer segfaults on dvd. I forwarded the results to him so he can close or update the bug :) [10:50] ara: it certainly looks like the issue is resolved :) and no more tmp files either. and the system seems faster [10:50] ara: ^ [10:51] davmor2, did sbeattie change his dl-iso... script? [10:52] ara: yeah it's python based now and contains zsync for dl'ing. He didn't need to chage the addresses though as when he read it, the update was only for releases.ubuntu.com which we don't use :) [10:53] davmor2, is it pushed in bzr? (lp:ubuntu-qa-tools) [10:53] ara: yes [10:54] dl-ubuntu-test-iso.py [10:54] davmor2, k, thanks [10:54] ara: it's a lot more configurable [12:46] hey ara I hate to be picky but I covered the last 2 tests so it was 100% coverage === fader|away is now known as fader_ [13:39] davmor2: awesomesauce, can you post your results (and what release your server is running) to bug 420931? Thanks! [13:39] Launchpad bug 420931 in zsync "zsync crashes with SIGSEGV when updating dvds" [Medium,Fix committed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/420931 [14:05] sbeattie: added === natureshadow1 is now known as natureshadow [14:25] hello [14:25] speak spanish?? [14:25] alguien habla espaƱol, es que mi ingles es muy malo [14:26] donaldo: yo lo hablo [14:26] hola tengo un problema, instalo los driver de nvidia en karmic y al reiniciar el sistema se queda en pantalla negra [14:27] y no se cual sea la causa [14:27] donaldo: mejor hablamos en privado [14:27] ok [14:36] Morning fader_ [14:36] davmor2: Howdy [14:36] wubi is still broken oh as is the live installer [14:36] meh [14:38] davmor2: I thought you were going to fix all the bugs! [14:39] fader_: no just report them, the devs have the wonderful task of actually fixing them :) [15:52] fader_: you need to stop flicking the netsplit button ;) [15:53] davmor2: It gives me something to do... keeps me off the streets and out of trouble. [15:53] :) [15:53] fader_: sad but true [16:11] smb: sorry but the partition is a bit broke today so I can't test it properly :( [16:18] davmor2, Sounds bad. :( Well, another day, then. I got a bit of a scared feeling with the nvidia binary driver in general. If someone notices high cpu loads from the X driver with it, I'd be interested in getting pinged [16:21] Hi! After updating to Karmic, I found I had several packages installed from older versions, usually from some kind of PPA, which were no longer available for Karmic. I decided I want a "clean" Karmic, and uninstall all those packages. [16:21] I think I'll do so using a hackish bash script: http://dpaste.com/hold/103367/ . Is there a better way? Do you find that command interesting? Is there some kind of wiki or forum where that command would be useful to others in the same situation? [16:28] someone take that switch off of fader_ this is getting out of hand now ;) === fader_ is now known as fader|away === fader|away is now known as fader_ === tgm4883` is now known as tgm4883 === fddfoo is now known as fdd === cking_ is now known as cking === slangase` is now known as slangasek === fader_ is now known as fader|away
