[15:00] me [15:00] me [15:00] me [15:00] me [15:00] me [15:01] me [15:01] beuno: hi [15:01] hi barry [15:02] me [15:02] adeuring intellectronica gary-sprint leonardr salgado danilos ping [15:02] me [15:02] me [15:02] me [15:02] barry: otp, sorry [15:03] gmb mars jml ping [15:03] [TOPIC] agenda [15:03] New Topic: agenda [15:03] me [15:03] me [15:03] i'm hoping it will be a short meeting today :) [15:03] barry, hi [15:03] jml: hi! [15:03] * Roll call [15:03] * Action items [15:03] * UI review call update [15:03] * Peanut gallery (anything not on the agenda) [15:03] [15:03] [15:03] [TOPIC] action items [15:03] New Topic: action items [15:03] * barry to get with mrevell on guidelines migration from old wiki to new [15:03] me [15:04] done, actually! well, in the sense that i chatted w/mrevell and he's going to work on the migration [15:04] Mo0r:) [15:04] oops [15:04] so, thanks mrevell ! [15:04] * intellectronica and barry to draft guidelines for drive-by cleanups [15:04] not done [15:04] we missed it [15:04] intellectronica: next time [15:04] may i suggest moving this to the list instead? [15:05] intellectronica: +1. would you like to take the first shot? or i can. [15:05] i'm happy to do that [15:05] intellectronica: thanks [15:05] [ACTION] intellectronica to take drive-by discussion to mailing list [15:05] ACTION received: intellectronica to take drive-by discussion to mailing list [15:05] [TOPIC] * UI review call update [15:05] New Topic: * UI review call update [15:06] intellectronica or beuno would you like to give us an update? [15:06] I have an interesting thing to paste into the channel [15:06] sinzui 12 [15:06] rockstar 10 [15:06] noodles 8 [15:06] intellectronica 8 [15:06] barry 6 [15:06] kiko 1 [15:06] danilo 1 [15:06] "number of non-beuno ui reviews performed since the 1st of Sept" [15:07] awesome [15:07] that's quite good, no? all ui reviewers are doing stuff [15:07] well, not really [15:07] How did I win that? I ran form UI reviews after I blew a gasket [15:07] there are quite a few that are not doint at all [15:07] and even some that are not ui reviewers :) [15:07] me. Oops. [15:07] but, it's fantastic, yes [15:08] a *lot* of you doing amazing work [15:08] beuno: also, what period is it over? the numbers seem to me too low if it's for the whole time [15:08] so I'm super happy, and I use Launchpad as an example of super success everywhere else [15:08] intellectronica, since Sept 1st til today [15:08] beuno: how did you calculate that? i'm sure i did more than 6 ui* reviews [15:09] barry, bzr log -r date:2009-09-01.. | grep "ui=" | grep "ui=none" -vi | grep "ui=beuno" -vi | grep "ui=rs" -vi [15:09] it's not super precise, but a pretty good aproximation [15:09] beuno: it doesn't include some mentored reviews of the form [ui=EdwinGrubbs, beuno] [15:10] beuno, on which branch? [15:10] jml, devel [15:10] bac, yeah, I saw, hence the approximation :) [15:10] well, that one it would've. yep [15:10] beuno: it would be interesting to grep the merge proposals [15:10] credit junkies abound ;) [15:10] anyway... [15:11] barry, it would, but it requires more than 20 minutes :) [15:11] yes [15:11] anyway [15:11] with those numbers [15:11] unless we need an accurate measure, would it suffice to say that there are lots of reviews and maybe even more than lots? [15:11] :) [15:11] I'm going to graduate noodles when he comes back, after a call [15:11] and my next nominee to go through the process is sinzui, if he's willing [15:11] beuno: I am willing. [15:12] * sinzui thinks several UI reviews are really hard because of context switching [15:12] great, so I'd encourage everyone to send ui reviews sinzui's way, and I will overlook them [15:13] i don't think there was anything terribly interesting in that call other than that, was there? [15:13] also francis sent notes to the list [15:14] of course, I meant "look at" rather than "overlook" :) [15:14] beuno: could you ask noodles to maybe send a message to the ml about his experience, how he worked with you and anything he learned that will help the next ui graduate? [15:14] barry, I will [15:14] thanks! [15:15] anything else on ui reviews? [15:15] i have something to say about windmill [15:15] beuno, http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/298297/ [15:15] intellectronica: go for it [15:15] beuno, that bzr plugin does reviewer & mainline author counts [15:15] i've started using the new infrastrcture after not touching it for quite some time, and it rocks [15:16] hugs to bjorn for sorting this out, and everyone who didn't yet have the chance to take a look, you're in for a pleasant surprise [15:16] BjornT should get to hear that :-) [15:16] (and he's not around) [15:16] jml, thanks, I will get the stats again from there [15:17] gary-sprint: yes, appropriately i think he's in a conference about test automation :) [15:17] intellectronica: very cool. the old infrastructure was so painful [15:17] :-) [15:17] intellectronica: is there anything in the dev wiki that could use updating? [15:18] barry: the dev wiki is already up to date [15:18] rock [15:18] intellectronica: thanks for the update [15:18] [TOPIC] * Peanut gallery (anything not on the agenda) [15:18] New Topic: * Peanut gallery (anything not on the agenda) [15:18] gary-sprint: would you like to give a brief update on our sprint? [15:19] or i can do it :) [15:19] barry: sure. Thanks to barry, salgado, and maxb, we have a branch that works (test passing) on Python 2.5. [15:19] This will not land until the LOSAs are ready to consume it [15:19] Also coming from the sprint was a bunch of fixes for the current 2.4 build on Karmic [15:20] We are now working on upgrading to newer versions of ZTK [15:20] \o/ [15:20] on Py 2.5 [15:20] That is big and hard [15:20] We will try to get it done, and then hopefully move back to Py 2.6 [15:20] We are not sure if we will get to that by the end of the week [15:21] We will have a discussion this evening (Americas) as to what we think we can accomplish [15:21] we have three branches. all the gory details are here: https://dev.launchpad.net/PythonMigrationStatus [15:21] LOSAs will probably not be able to let us land this for about a week and a half is my impression [15:21] I have a discussion with Tom about this tomorrow [15:22] gary-sprint: thanks [15:22] They have been swamped, and though I sent them an email a while ago, I didn't make them answer me ;-) [15:22] yeah, done. :-) thank you [15:22] i have nothing else on the agenda for today. does anybody have anything? [15:24] okay then, thanks everybody and have a great day [15:24] #endmeeting [15:24] Meeting finished at 09:24.
