superm1/home/mythtv is  created by the mythtv-common package00:00
superm1spirits-sight, you are better off installing from scratch yes00:00
Cuco3i deleted it manually00:00
superm1well that's the cause of your problem :)00:00
Cuco3should I recreate it?00:00
superm1go make it again, and then script will run fine00:00
Cuco3thank you gonna try it out now00:00
superm1spirits-sight, more stuff is preconfigured for you, and you dont have to deal with pulseaudio which can cause problems sometimes00:00
spirits-sightok superm1 when I did this then installed ubuntu desktop it now shows the myth menu on my gnome with panels at top and bottom ??00:01
superm1spirits-sight, that's a bug with compiz i think00:02
superm1i dont know, we dont really "support" running it in gnome, but for "the most part" it works00:02
spirits-sightalso when I want to shut down it says enter passcode as its a policy to ask when other user log in00:02
superm1another gnome specific bug00:02
Cuco3you're the man, suprm1 !00:03
Cuco3it's gone!00:03
superm1Cuco3, dont go mucking around like that in the future :)00:03
Cuco3yeah :-/00:03
Cuco3:::stupidstupidstupid:::00:04
Cuco3i was just desperate to get mythtv working and I was screwin around00:04
ToeBeehmm I'm curious if anyone else has seen bug 46243200:04
Cuco3how great a program is it?00:04
ToeBeeoh right. no bot. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mythmusic/+bug/46243200:05
Cuco3Does MySQL remain on my computer if I remove MythTV?00:06
Cuco3cuz I'm hoping to get that off, too. so I can start a fresh installation of mythtv00:06
spirits-sightcan u recommend a cheap USB TV that supports CC and able to handle composite (three / two wire connection or would allow a coax to composite converter00:07
spirits-sightor for the USA that is00:08
rictecanyone here?01:15
ricteccan someone tell me in karmic how do i check for vdpau on xine, mplayer and mythtv?01:16
Cuco3Does anyone know if you uninstall MythTV Frontend+Backened that MySQL also gets removed? I'm hoping yes, just need a quick answer. Thank you.02:13
darthanubiswhat would cause all the frontends to break at once, while the backend is totally fine?03:11
darthanubisone frontend claims not to even notice that the backend is running, another sees the backend but when it tries to play any video the frontend disappears but you can still hear the audio?03:12
darthanubisThe frontend that sees the backend still plays the videos, but when it does, the whole frontend goes invisible. If I hit esc it stops, then I hit enter, and the frontend reappears.03:27
darthanubisreinstalling the frontend does not help, and the backends database is not corrupted03:27
darthanubistwo instances of mythtvfrontend.re that are zombied03:28
hadsCuco3: Depends how you do it. Of course you can just remove mysql.03:36
Cuco3thanks hads. I have a couple of mysql packages installed. I'm wondering which one is the database.03:41
Cuco3I'm wondering if it's mysql-common03:42
hadsCuco3: mysql-server03:42
Cuco3ahh ok. yeah, that one's not listed here as installed, perfect!03:42
Cuco3ty for that info, hads. :)03:43
hadsNP03:43
darthanubisthe frontend is only broken in gnome05:43
darthanubiseven with compiz off I get a black window05:46

hipitihopI did have mythfrontend installed on a 9.04 desktop just playing to see if it could talk to another real backend but never used, however I have just done an upgrade to karmic and the machine has rebooted looking like a frontend with xfce etc... how can I remove xfce etc and have a standard karmic ubuntu desktop08:26
Raspberryok .. so I just dist-upgrade to 9.10 from 9.04 and X is fux0r'd08:59
Raspberryheh08:59
Raspberrylucy, you have some splain' to do08:59
RaspberryXorg process just runs at 100% of the cpu indefinitely09:00
RaspberryI'm thinking of deleting the X.org config and re-running the X dpkg-reconfigure09:01
RaspberryI didn't have to do that between 8.10 and 9.0409:01
Raspberrymost of the other services work (testing MythTV shortly via MythTV Player) but X seems to be borked09:02
RaspberryMythTV Backend works09:05
mtrelinscan i follow http://www.mythbuntu.org/Upgrading to upgrade to 0.22 and not upgrade 9.04 to 9.1009:06
mtrelins?09:06
hadsHi mtrelins09:06
mtrelinshi hads09:07
mtrelinsi can just autoremove it if it screws up yeah?09:07
mtrelinsand remove the repo, apt-get update, apt-get install mythtv... etc09:07
mtrelinsto go back to 0.2109:07
mtrelins?09:07
hadsSure, you can remove it and start again, though keep in mind that the database will be updated by the upgrade.09:08
mtrelinsbut doesn't it back it up?09:08
hadsSo you will need to keep a backup of the database around.09:08
mtrelinsi can dump it09:08
mtrelinsit's just mythconverg, right?09:08
hadsI believe it does automatically but I would do it manually to be sure.09:08
hadsYes09:08
mtrelins2) Backup your database with the following command (it will prompt for the password from step 1)09:08
mtrelinsmysqldump -u mythtv -p mythconverg > mythtvbackup.sql09:08
hadsYeah09:08
hadsThen if you need to go back to 0.21 (you shouldn't) you can just restore the db.09:09
mtrelinsso if i have the backup, 0.22 epic fails, i can just reimport the mythtvbackup.sql to mythconverg09:09
hadsCorrect09:09
mtrelinsand apt-get install mythtv again (The 0.21 version)09:09
mtrelinscan a 0.21 frontend talk to a 0.22 server09:09
mtrelins?09:09
hadsNope09:09
mtrelinsdang09:09
mtrelinsok09:09
hadsMyth has a protocol version which has to match.09:10
mtrelinsdo you run 0.22?09:10
hadsYes, on 9.1009:10
mtrelinsis playback better on live tv?09:10
hadsI upgraded from 9.04, and 8.10, 8.04 etc before that.09:10
hadsI haven't had a problem with playback on either.09:10
mtrelinssomehow upgrading ubuntu using dist-upgrade sits like a windows me -> windows vista upgrade09:10
mtrelinslol09:10
hadsNa, it works fine.09:11
mtrelinsi guess i had a bad taste in my mouth from earlier ubuntu09:11
mtrelinslike 5.0409:11
hadsI recently reinstalled a machine that had been upgraded since about 6.06 or something09:11
hadsNo issues09:11
mtrelinsdo you know anything about frame tearing fixes?09:12
mtrelinsi eliminated frame tear on the backend09:12
mtrelinsbut it happens on the frontend09:12
hadsThrow hardware at it? :)09:12
mtrelinsok, i'm only doing 720x48009:12
mtrelins5mbit09:12
mtrelinsjust regular satellite09:12
hadsI haven't had a problem with tearing since I upgraded to newish hardware.09:12
mtrelinsamd x2 64 3ghz09:13
mtrelinswould i really need faster proc for 720x48009:13
mtrelins100mbit switch09:13
hadsShould be heaps, nvidia graphics?09:13
mtrelinsno :(09:13
mtrelinsati :(09:13
mtrelinshd 4000 or something09:13
hadsAh, that's possible it then.09:13
hadsTHough I know nothing about ATI.09:14
mtrelinsATI Radeon HD 420009:15
mtrelins2gb ram09:15
mtrelinssata09:15
mtrelinshere's the thing09:15
mtrelinsplaying 1280x720 video in mplayer through mythvideo is flawless09:16
mtrelinsusing -vo gl09:16
mtrelinshowever09:16
mtrelinsenabling GL sync for tv playback = death09:16
Raspberryis there some X reconfig I can run from the console?09:16
mtrelinsfrontend freezes09:16
mtrelinsdpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg?09:16
hadsX shouldn't need much config these days.09:16
Raspberrywell it shows a bunch of machine languagee09:17
hadsmtrelins: I'm not sure sorry, I've not had to debug that type of issue so don't know a lot about it.09:17
mtrelinsis there a better changelog from 0.21 to 0.22 fixes?09:19
mtrelinsi'm reading the wiki and there's only a handful of stuff09:19
hadsNot that I know of. It would be pretty long if it was details.09:19
Raspberryhow do I use the service utility?09:20
Raspberryapparently /etc/init.d/ isn't recommended anymore?09:21
hadsservice something restart09:21
Raspberrythe issue I have is that my mythtv frontend user isn't running since the 9.04 to 9.10 upgrade09:21
Raspberryit doesn't autostart09:21
hadsWhat doesn't autostart?09:21
Raspberrythe mythfrontend user09:22
Raspberryisn't auto starting09:22
hadsI don't follow. You mean auto login?09:22
Raspberryyes09:22
hadsOkay, you can configure that with mythbuntu-control-centre09:22
Raspberryhads -- well my issue is that X doesn't start properly since the upgrade from 9.04 to 9.1009:23
Raspberryhads -- I'm not trying to be annoying :)09:23
mtrelinsanyone here use mythgame?09:23
Raspberrymtrelins: I've run mythgame, but it's never felt very complete09:25
mtrelinsjust wondering if it's best to do 32bit os for that09:25
mtrelinsor 64 bit os09:25
mtrelinsa lot of other emulators don't want to compile in 64bit09:25
mtrelinsxmess gives crappy performance for snes / nes09:26
Raspberrymtrelins: unless you're running over 4gb of ram (and you need to) there's no HUGE advantage to 64bit09:26
mtrelinsdo you think there's a disadvantage in compatibility ?09:26
mtrelinsthe processor is x86_6409:26
mtrelinsso i could run 32bit ubuntu09:26
mtrelinsand compile 32 bit emulators right?09:26
Raspberryi run 64bit09:26
mtrelinsi currently get errors like "popa not supported on 64 bit"09:27
Raspberryeverything is pretty much good to go09:27
mtrelinswhen i try to compile09:27
Raspberrybut you'll find a few things that won't work09:27

luke_ahhh ok, read topic :)09:44
hads"MythTV logs are stored in /var/log/mythtv/   You can use mythbuntu-log-grabber from the Applications menu to automatically post the most relevant logs to our pastebin." is what that was meant to tell you.09:45

Raspberryhads: be nice09:50

luke_yea its working again? but I got no idea what just happend...10:10
luke_thanks by the way, you got the wife off my back :)10:11
hadsPerhaps the backend wasn't running before.10:11
hadsNo problem.10:11
luke_I thought a full restart of the machine would have done it? mythtv does not start when I turn on my machine which is something i need to sort out10:12
luke_I'm thinking mythbuntu might be a better option than doing a full 9.10 and putting mythtv on top of it, I just liked having a full desktop for surfing internet etc10:13
mtrelinsok FYI about the frame tearing10:13
mtrelinsi just updated the ati driver10:13
mtrelinsapparently there's a new catalyst driver10:13
mtrelinscame out 7 days ago10:13
mtrelinsit helps a lot10:13
hadsluke_: Either way should work.10:14
mtrelinsanyone know which deinterlacer looks best at 720x480?10:14
mtrelinsbob2x is out of the question10:14
hadsmtrelins: Cool, thought it would be ATI that was the issue.10:14
mtrelinsyeah it's not perfect10:14
mtrelinsbut it's better10:15
mtrelinsso that says to me it's an ATI issue10:15
mtrelinshopefully a year from now it'll be fixed :-D10:15
hadsIf you wanted an instant fix then an nvidia card would probably do that.10:15
luke_how can I rescan artwork for my mythvideo movies? I have some that have the wrong artwork for some reason and hitting 'w' does not update them10:15
hadsm for menu and then reset the metadata10:16
mtrelinshads: is nvidia really that much better?  do you know of a card that's < 100$ and has hdmi out10:16
hadsAFAIK yes it is that much better.10:16
luke_hads, thanks again, is there a way to get them to pull the images down or do you have to do them 1 by 1?10:16
hadsLook into jamu.py10:17
hadsmtrelins: I don't know of card costs as I don't know where you are etc. I'm sure whatever country you are in has a price comparison website or something though.10:18
mtrelinshttp://www.bestbuy.com/site/BFG+-+NVIDIA+GeForce+210+512MB+DDR2+PCI+Express+Graphics+Card/9543461.p?id=1218121950209&skuId=954346110:18
mtrelinslooks like hdmi10:18
mtrelinswhat's this VDPAU thing?10:19
hadsCheck the mythtv wiki, should be on there.10:19
mtrelinscan you recommend a good deinterlacer for 720x48010:20
hadsNot sure10:20
luke_hads, i hit 'm' but cannot find any option to reset metadata10:28

cumulus007Hi, I'm an Ubuntu translator on Launchpad and I'm interested in translating parts of Mythbuntu. However, I can't find the correct package to translate on Launchpad. All packages I've tried so far aren't configured for translation14:44

superm1cumulus007, do you know anyone who can help with that?15:36
cumulus007I'm afraid not15:37
cumulus007I don't know a lot about programming, that's why I prefer translating :)15:38
darthanubistwo things that solved my frontend issues 1.cairo breaks X with nvidia, and opengl sync with an intel onboard speeds up the video.15:38
superm1cumulus007, the translatable strings should live in mythbuntu-common actually15:39
superm1can you see if that portion is available in the launchpad translation stuff?15:39

cumulus007mythbuntu-common is not set up for translation either15:41

olejlI'm running Mythbuntu 9.10 with the fixes branch. If I try to change e.g. channel visibility through MythWeb, my changes are not saved. Does anyone know what could be the problem?16:04
superm1you might need to restart mythbackend for them to take effect16:05
olejlok will try that16:06
superm1(sudo restart mythtv-backend) should do it16:10
olejlsuperm1: no it didn't help16:12
superm1and you've restarted the frontend too?16:12
olejlI uncheck on of the visible checkboxes, and click save. When the page is reloaded, the checkbox is checked again. If I check the database, visible is still 1.16:16
olejlIf I manually set the visible flag in the database to 0, and refresh the webpage, it is displaying the correct info. Without restarting the FE or BE16:16
superm1oh hm16:24
superm1then that certainly sounds like some type of bug :)16:24

Pinnacle70eHello. doe anyone know how I can make my pinnacle usb 70e device work on karmic? It seems like there isn't drivers support.Regards19:10
heronhas anyone got flgrx running in 9.10?19:21
heronfrom my google foo it seems that the problem was solved in the beta but I still do not see it in the hardware manager :(19:22
superm1you probably have to have an up to date apt cache for it to be offered by hardware manager19:23
sebrocksuperm1, I mean into repo. Already have 9.04 backend but the new frontend 9.10 will not work with it19:23
superm1sebrock, Yeah and that's still on auto builds19:23
superm1sebrock, you can grab the newer 0.22 backend for 9.04 on the auto builds19:24
superm1heron, so if you run update manager's update cycle and then reboot, hopefully hardware drivers should offer you fglrx19:24
heronhmm I will try after this nights movie ;)19:25
heronbut it should be in rigth?19:25
superm1it is available yes19:25
sebrocksuperm1, I have to add some repo then, it's not in the standard Ubuntu 9.03 repo right?19:26
superm1and of course your hardware has to still support it.  older AMD/ATI graphics hardware doesnt19:26
heronthanks, then I will get it working ;)19:26
superm1sebrock, grab that deb and it will do it all for ya...19:26
superm1But yes.19:26
heronhmm my old 8.04 did19:26
heronelse I finally have a reason to go and by a nice nvidia card instead of the crappy on board ati/amd chip19:27
superm1within the last two years they have stopped supporting some hardware19:27
superm1so it's quite possible19:27
superm1that unsupported hardware generally works pretty well w/ the open source driver though19:28
heronhmm, I had to switch off opengl for playback for now19:28
heronif it really is not supported anymore I will have to see if something eith the configuration of the open driver is wring :/19:29
heronwrong19:29
superm1what's the card?19:30
heronradeon X120019:33
heronat least that is what xorg thinks ;)19:33
heronwill have to look at the manual for specifics19:33
heronlooking at /var/log/Xorg alot of stuff goes wrong with the open source driver too19:34
superm1don't think it works for fglrx19:34
superm1http://osdir.com/ml/debian-bugs-dist/2009-10/msg01947.html19:34
heronso I thought I rather get fglrx working again19:34
herondamn19:34
Zinnheron: Please watch your language.19:34

superm1you'll be greatful you did after you see the results19:35
heronyes19:35
heron^^ I hope so19:35
sebrocksuperm1, I grab the deb from 9.10? How can I automate this to include all myth-backend related stuff?19:35
superm1sebrock, so you grab that deb that's linked there, install it on 9.04 and it adds the repos / keys/ configures19:36
superm1then you open up update manager19:36
superm1and it will offer you upgrades to the myth stuff19:36

tgm4883frontend setting21:36
tgm4883hads, when you enter live tv, you can either go directly to live tv, or have the guide pop up automatically21:37
tgm4883I would guess that is in general frontend settings21:37
hadsYeah, that setting is off by default so I assumed one would know how to turn it off if they turned it on :)21:38
tgm4883is it off by default in Mythbuntu though?21:38
hadsShould be21:39
tgm4883I think it is21:39
tgm4883i'll check where it is after I burn this iso to flash drive21:39
hadsUnless you guys specifically altered the setting from myth defaults. But I've never noticed it on my installs.21:39
tgm4883hads, there are a few things we did (storage groups in 0.22) but I don't think the guide was one of them21:41
hadsYeah, that would be an odd one to change.21:41
tgm4883mtrelins, in 0.22, in the frontend, the setting is in Utilities/Setup > Setup > TV Settings > Program Guide21:43
tgm4883it's on page 1 of that21:43
tgm4883ok, time to do a fresh install of karmic21:44
hadsSeems he already got help in #mythtv-users21:44
Raspberryhmm21:47
Raspberryso I upgraded to 9.10 from 9.0421:47
Raspberryand now my screen just flickers constantly during boot21:47
Raspberryduring the runtime / service loading it just flickers as it loads... then goes to a black screen when it finishes -- I've reinstalled X, deleted my xorg.conf... reinstall X... it's a standard onboard intel21:48
OpenMediaAnyone here have issue adjusting the GUI size for overscan?21:50
OpenMediaIf I set the GUI width to less than the screen width then the XFCE menu bar is always visible, even though I haven't adjusted the GUI height.21:51
abarbacciaif i want to apply a patch to the mythtv source and repackage, any suggestions or guides that would be useful?22:48
abarbacciawant to test out CoreAVC on linux performance22:48
tgm4883abarbaccia, apt-get source > add patch > push to personal PPA?22:49
abarbacciatgm4883: how do i do the last part?22:49
abarbacciai've done 1 and 2...22:49
abarbacciawell, how do i build the package22:50
tgm4883https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA22:50
tgm4883abarbaccia, ^^22:50
tgm4883abarbaccia, debuild -S -sa22:51
darthanubismythvideo can see the files, open them and attempts to play them22:53
abarbacciatgm4883: i might not even have to build it on my machine if the patch applies correctly and i just upload to the ppa22:53
darthanubisThe videos are frozen22:53
darthanubisthe only way to get any kind of motion is with fast forward or to keep hitting the play button22:53
darthanubisand even then no sound22:53
tgm4883darthanubis, odd22:53
tgm4883darthanubis, logs?22:53
darthanubiseverything else is perfect22:53
abarbacciatgm4883: nvmd. reading documentation22:54
darthanubislet me go back to that machine22:54
darthanubisthx22:54
abarbacciatgm4883: ill come back with a question after i break something...22:54
tgm4883abarbaccia, you would apt-get source packagename22:54
tgm4883then add the patch to the patches directory in debian/22:54
tgm4883then debuild -S -sa22:54
tgm4883then dput ppa package22:55
tgm4883but yea, read the docs cause that last part is a bit fuzzy22:55
abarbacciatgm4883: so the patches in /debian/patches are .dpatch22:56
tgm4883abarbaccia, yea so you need to make the patch a dpatch22:57
abarbaccia..?22:57
abarbacciaim getting packaging 101 here from tgm488322:58
abarbacciatgm4883: i found the ubuntu doc on updating packages22:59

Tuv0k[pulse] working around probably broken pause functionality,23:04
Tuv0k[mpeg4 @ 0x7f1775c0aa80]Invalid and inefficient vfw-avi packed B frames detected23:04
Tuv0ktgm4883, besides the emails from the backend not being able to be sent to my local mail box because my local mailbox is not setup and leaving 4k messages unsent, those two lines, particularly pulseaudio not playing with me, seems to be the issue with mythvideo not playing my movies?23:06
darthanubishttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mplayer/+bug/42122923:08
darthanubisand since mythvideo is using mplayer, maybe this bug has everything to do with it, and I need to change the player from mplayer to vlc?23:09
darthanubisnot sure what to do from the bug report23:10
darthanubishttp://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=129292623:12
darthanubisI think I'm drilling it down23:13
tgm4883Tuv0k, odd23:15

darthanubisso mythtv .2223:28
tgm4883was this a Ubuntu + MythTV install, or a Mythbuntu install?23:28
darthanubisUbuntu + MythTV install23:28
tgm4883ok23:28
darthanubisI always do it that way23:28
tgm4883that explains the pulseaudio breakage23:28
darthanubis:/ how so?23:29
tgm4883MythTV and pulseaudio are not friends23:29
tgm4883!pulse%23:29
ZinnPulse Audio, aka kitten killer.  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PulseAudio for more information.  Pulse Audio seems to cause problems with MythTV, so if you don't have any dependencies on it, it's recommended that you remove it.23:29
darthanubisaww23:29
tgm4883you could try using vlc23:30
tgm4883or xine23:30
darthanubisI will23:30
tgm4883this is an upgraded mythtv database?23:30
darthanubisdo you have a link for how to switch default player or is it as simple as changine the mplayer line with vlc?23:31
darthanubisno, this is a fresh 9.10 install23:31
tgm4883this is a complete fresh install?23:31
darthanubisyes23:31

darthanubisI mean I installed it from alpha 6 then just upgraded to final23:32
darthanubisin the default directory23:32
tgm4883/var/lib/mythtv/videos?23:32
darthanubisoh no wait23:32
darthanubisthey are from a nfs share mounted in /home/anubis/videos23:32
tgm4883great23:33
darthanubispermissions are totally open23:33
tgm4883that should make things easier23:33
darthanubisgreat23:33
tgm4883so in the frontend, go to Utilities/Setup > Setup > Media Settings > Video Settings > General Settings23:34
tgm4883in the "Directories that hold videos" you need to put in /home/anubis/videos/23:34
tgm4883then hit next until you are back to the menu23:35
tgm4883Then you have two options for setting VLC/xine as the player to use23:36
tgm4883you can set it as the default player, or you can set it as the player for a certain filetype23:36
tgm4883which would you like to do?23:36
tgm4883darthanubis, you there?23:38
darthanubisone sec plz23:39
tgm4883ok23:39
Ray1Hello, I am trying to migrate from ATSC to QAM.  I had an air2pc card that is atsc only and replaced it with an HVR-950Q.  This seemed to be much easier to get working in 9.10, so I upgraded my backend.  The system is working for the most part.  I have a problem with my other tuner card, the FusionHDTV5 RT Lite.  This card works, but there are quality problems, there is occasional blocking in the video and the audio has digital noise almos23:41
Ray1I have not used the FusionHDTV5 RT Lite card with QAM before, only ATSC OTA.  I have done what I can to ensure it is getting a strong signal, the HVR-950Q works fine with the signal provided.23:41
chukwhat happened to diskless in mythbuntu 9.10?23:45
tgm4883chuk, afaik, it's gone23:47
tgm4883well23:47
chukoof, I can't imagine why23:47
tgm4883actually, I think there are ways to get it back23:47
tgm4883but the dev on that hasn't been around to comment on it23:47
tgm4883he's pretty busy23:48
chukI'm sure there is, just wondering why it was dropped, that was one of the best features23:48
chukall of my clients are diskless23:48
tgm4883chuk, not so much dropped, as not updated for 9.10 due to time constraints23:48
chukI can't imagine it was a huge change to go to 9.1023:49
chukbut that's easy for me to say23:49
tgm4883chuk, unfortunatly I don't know, I'll try to ping the dev again23:50
darthanubistgm4883, i'll try that now23:51
tgm4883darthanubis, how does mythtv know where your videos are?23:51
tgm4883since they are in a non-standard location?23:52
Tuv0ktgm4883, I told mythtv with the "directories that hold videos" setting23:55
tgm4883ah ok23:55
Tuv0khowever I'm not finding the "set default player option" yet23:55
tgm4883thats in player settings23:55
tgm4883not general settins23:56
tgm4883you might also want to look at http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/VLC23:56
Tuv0kmplayer -fs -zoom -quiet -vo xv %s23:56
Tuv0kyeah, thats what is in there by default23:56
Tuv0kI should just be able to put in vlc23:56
tgm4883no23:57
tgm4883you will want something like23:57
superm1chuk, the problem is that the GUI wasn't rewritten for the new MCC23:57
tgm4883vlc file://%s vlc://quit23:57
superm1all of the backend code for it still works23:58
