I am getting a message "Ubuntu is running in low-graphics mode", but after checking the okay-buttons of the following three dialogs (requesting to start ubuntu in low graphics mode), it starts normally. I would like to know what exactly is checked to decide this error message, so I can convince him not to show me this message ;-)
