MTecknologySo... when menuconfig says "This enables support for systems with more than one CPU." does this include single proc dual core?05:09
RAOFYes.05:14
MTecknologythanks05:15
dhillon-v10MTecknology, hi there, you seem to be building a lot of kernels in the past days :)05:16
MTecknologydhillon-v10: ya... ricing the crap out of it05:18
MTecknologydhillon-v10: I also have a ~12sec boot :P05:18
dhillon-v10MTecknology, nice :) that's pretty good, custom kernels give out a lot of performance05:18
MTecknologyya, changing processes and a lot of other things helps too05:19
dhillon-v10MTecknology, if you want to get involved in kernel development, you should keep on making custom kernels until you can do one eyes closed :) then you can start writing patches and such05:21
MTecknologydhillon-v10: I could probably do it without a monitor - not eyes closed, my typing sucks05:23
dhillon-v10MTecknology, nice :) 05:23
MTecknologydhillon-v10: I've trimmed off over 60% of the default kernel, long ways to go until it's perfect though :P05:24
dhillon-v10MTecknology, that's pretty good, there's is this book called Understanding the linux kernel you should read it, its pretty awesome and tells you a lot of info. (only if you have some time)05:25
MTecknologyI downloaded book- title sounds familiar; I have about 2,000 pages left I want to get through this weekend but I don't think I'll make it05:26
dhillon-v10MTecknology, I haven't had the time to read it all, still in the process of reading it05:29
dhillon-v10MTecknology, gotta go bye and good luck05:29
MTecknologyyup, ttyl05:30
