[00:46] Hi, I got myself an ASUS 1005p this week. As documented on http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEeePC/Model/1005P the current kernel doesn't yet properly support the Atheros wifi chip. A simple recompile of the current lucid kernel with http://paste.debian.net/58163/ failed: https://launchpad.net/~r0lf/+archive/ppa/+build/1474787 [00:48] Hm, just realized I was compiling for karmic, that may be the issue. Retrying for lucid to see if that works better. [06:07] Anybody have any idea what happened here? http://paste.ubuntu.com/366029/ === Hellow_ is now known as Hellow [10:30] hi! [10:30] I just upgraded my Debian test host and noticed that, upon reboot, its kernel 2.6.32 mounted both / and /home as ext4, as defined in /etc/fstab, while my Ubuntu hosts only mount non-root partitions that way. [10:30] I was wondering if there's any significant diference between those kernels that could explain this? [10:31] in both cases, we're talking about ext3 partitions that have been defined as ext4 in /etc/fstab to enable the compatibility mode.
