[11:55] morning! === skrzat is now known as kosmo [14:32] Heya, routing alsa to jack, hopefully to expose an interface, I can route in jack, anyone know? I already tried this: http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php/Jack_%28plugin%29 that doesn't seem to do anything. [16:04] hey paradoxuncreated [16:04] i seem to be able to get everything i need routed to jack using the GUI [16:04] ullo [16:04] qjackclt [16:04] ok [16:04] or whatever [16:05] i did use netjack for a bit [16:05] how did you get the alsa sound, into jack? [16:05] I want to do system wide EQ through jack. [16:05] but i was still able to use the connection bay from qjackctl [16:05] hmm [16:06] i dont remember that being an issue [16:06] i was mostly using jack aware synths, or line in/out from my firepod [16:06] I need for instance, "alsa" ports. [16:06] oh yeah, I am using a firewire device too. [16:06] what are you trying to route? [16:07] regular alsa audio. [16:07] with alsa? [16:07] a media player? [16:07] So that non-jack applications are routed into jack. [16:07] (alsa) [16:07] well, that would be handy [16:07] hehe [16:07] ive never needed to work that out though [16:08] maybe somebody will know here in a bit :) [16:12] I hope it will be me. [18:26] Good evening... I'm wondering if someone can point me in the right direction... I wish to know which files to edit, where to start looking, etc. if you want a basic Linux system to automatically start up X and GDM upon boot. Mine does this, of course, being US 9.10, but I have uninstalled GDM to replace with GDM 2.2 (legacy) in order to have the old-look login screens [18:26] Now, when I boot up, I get a message saying that X is already running - do I want to start it on another screen... [18:26] How can I fix this?
