[16:51] <sbalneav> f-spot's quite nice, but It's a bit of a pain to keep two different f-spot installations in sync, owing to the "photos vs. metadata database" dichotomy
[16:52] <sbalneav> gthumb's nice in that it ONLY looks at the photos, unfortunately, if you want to tag a photo with a comment, it stores the comment as a .xml file in the directory with the photo, rather than embedding the comment in the photo the way f-spot does.

[20:09] <alkisg> You can, but you'd need to go from 7.04 to 7.10 to 8.04 to 8.10 to 9.04 to 9.10 ;)

[20:10] <alkisg> Not yet, it's in alpha 3 (tomorrow)
