akgranerNotes, Logs, highlights etc from meeting yesterday sent to mailing list - https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-women/2010-March/002541.html03:47
akgranerCan someone post this to our forums please?03:47
nhandlerI just read through the notes, any reason for not using the LP api for that spreadsheet ?03:48
akgranerdoes it tell you gender?03:49
akgranernhandler, AlanBell would be able to answer that best...03:50
akgranerAlanBell, ^^^^^  so you see the question when you log in...  thanks!03:51
nhandlerNo, it doesn't support telling you the gender of someone. But it could start by generating a list of all Uuntu members who are on the Ubuntu Women's team03:52
akgraneryeah he grabbed all that, but it scripts hang on the pulling info b/c of merged team that seems to be orphaned that is showing up in the list04:00
akgranerUW Team admins can't delete it  - so it has been requested to have it removed by the LP folks and it has been forwarded to the right folks  -iirc04:01
nhandlerakgraner: Ah, ~ubuntu-press-team-merged is the culprit04:31
maco2huh?04:32
akgranernhandler, yeppers04:33
nhandlerFixing the date in the /topic maco2 ?04:34
maco2yep04:34
akgranermaco2, it's an orphaned group, that was merged a while back that causes scripts to hang when ran against the UW launchpad team04:34
maco2wait is the next date set yer?04:34
maco2*yet04:35
maco2i was gonna put TBD04:35
akgranernope not yet04:35
=== maco2 changed the topic of #ubuntu-women-project to: This Channel is LOGGED | http://women.ubuntu.com | support (mostly) at #ubuntu | channel guidelines: http://wiki.ubuntu-women.org/IrcGuidelines | Next meeting: TBD | Vote for your Fav - "How I discovered Ubuntu" story at http://elkbuntu.net/ubuntuwomen
akgranerReminder - team reports are due this Sunday  - IF you have something to add please take a look at the team reporting page http://wiki.ubuntu-women.org/ReportingPage and/or the announcement from the Mailing list  - https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-women/2010-March/002542.html05:01

akgranerelky, I wish but they are needed for UWN :-)06:18
elkyawwwwwwwww. if they wait, then UWN can announce the winners06:19
czajkowskiakgraner: morning06:19
* elky flails and whimpers06:19
akgranerand on that note I am catching some zzzz's - see you all in a few hours - :-)06:19
elky(i mean, after jono that is)06:19
czajkowskiakgraner: catch you later06:19
akgranerczajkowski, morning and good night :-)06:19
akgranerelky - thanks for getting the write up out - had to take care of something that took longer than I thought!06:21
akgranernight for real now06:21
AlanBellnhandler: it does use launchpadlib06:44
AlanBelland I added some error trapping to jump over the deleted team06:44
AlanBellit is basically the same code I use to go through the ubuntu-members group but as there are no nested groups (apart from the broken one) it is a bit simpler06:45
AlanBellideally the code would also use the google docs API to stuff the results directly into a google docs spreadsheet and have graphs and things that magically update06:47

AlanBellw00t21:30
AlanBelloops21:30
pleia2:)21:31
AlanBellI w00ted in the wrong window21:32
PendulumI was going to say, w00t isn't in this channel21:32
AlanBellmouse.pl is great most of the time21:32
AlanBellbut sometimes it flips windows seemingly all by itself21:33
pleia2akgraner: are we doing another ubuntu women session this UOW?21:59
akgranerpleia2, we can :-)21:59
pleia2I'm thinking if we do, we drop the "why does UW exist" thing21:59
pleia2just dive in to what we're doing and how awesome we are22:00
akgraneryep we can link to past sessions and other resources if we it comes up22:00
PendulumI think it's worth doing a session22:00
Pendulumit's a good intro for new people22:00
* Pendulum says this after showing up in the UW channel after/during the last UOW ;)22:00
akgranerpleia2, yep and now we can have slides and stuff right?22:00
pleia2akgraner: yep! :)22:00
* akgraner is out of the loop on Lernid shhhh don't tell anyone22:00
pleia2and by then classbot will post the slide URL in channel so people in regular IRC can easily download and follow them too22:01
akgraneroh that rocks!22:01
pleia2I just have come to see the "why does UW exist" as a defensive justification, there isn't a "why does kubuntu exist" session ;)22:01
pleia2and we've become a pretty strong project in the past year22:01
akgranerpleia2, I agree...22:02
akgraneryeah and I would like to say here is what we accomplished during he Lucid cycle and here is what our goals are for -M and here is how you can help!22:03
pleia2perfect :)22:04
Pendulumsounds good to me!22:06
Pendulumalso if we just assume we should exist we may get fewer questions (since we're not positing the question ourselves)22:06
akgraneryeppers22:10
* AlanBell wonders where the UOW announcement is22:10
akgranerAlanBell, not an announce for UOW but the Call for sessions22:12
AlanBellah ok, where is that then :-)22:12
akgranerI sent it to the UW list, and jcastro sent it loco-contacts and someother lists22:13
akgranerAlanBell,  -devel and -users as well22:13
AlanBellI should read my email a bit more really22:13
pleia2hehe22:13
akgranerhehe22:13
* AlanBell is at inbox 1113822:14
akgranerAlanBell, :-/  are those mailing lists?22:15
AlanBellI have a couple of lists there, plus everything else22:15
AlanBellnever really got my head round folders22:15
czajkowskiAlanBell: I live for tags and folders in emails22:16
AlanBellmy desk is a big pile of stuff. If I want to find things then I search for them. Same in email.22:16
PendulumI wish my desk was as easy to search as my e-mail :-/22:17
AlanBellreally like the idea of a programme guide for open week22:19
Pendulumwasn't there one last open week?22:25
Pendulumor supposed to be one?22:25
Pendulum(I feel like there was a link I never clicked on)22:25
AlanBellthere was, just come across it myself22:27
AlanBellhttps://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuOpenWeek?action=AttachFile&do=view&target=UOW-booklet.pdf22:27
AlanBellI think I was slightly confused between open week and developer week22:27
