=== jamalta-afk is now known as jamalta === Guest61212 is now known as NCommander === jamalta is now known as jamalta-afk [10:22] jml: I'm curious how https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~jml/zope.testing/subunit-output-formatter/+merge/19825 is progressing [12:44] lifeless, it's paused for the moment, due to me releasing Twisted [12:44] lifeless, I'm going to get back to it soon. === Ursinha is now known as Jorjao [18:28] hi all [18:29] anyones know how to turn a project into a meta project ? [18:29] is there any script in the launchpad source tree ? [19:45] moin [19:46] asabil: rename the project; make a meta project. [19:46] lifeless, how ? [19:47] you'll need LOSA support - file a question on answers.launchpad.net/ [19:47] bah [19:47] answers.launchpad.net/launchpad [19:48] lifeless, I am asking in launchpad-dev [19:48] yes, sometimes folk do this ;) [19:48] ok, so do you want apis, or admin interface hints? [19:48] admin interface hints [19:48] is there an admin interface for launchpad ? [19:49] when you're logged in as an admin, some pages show an admin link, yes [19:50] oh I found that [19:51] but no mention of creating a super project [20:00] not sure where it is in the ui - check the zcml pages [20:00] a meta project is a 'project' in the lp codebase. [20:19] ok thanks [20:19] and a side question [20:20] I am getting a ForbiddenAttribute error when listing the branches on a specific project [20:20] any idea ? [20:20] Module lp.code.browser.branchlisting, line 1277, in initial_branches [20:20] branch for branch in branch_query[:max_branches_from_query] [20:20] ForbiddenAttribute: ('__len__', ) [20:35] __len__ isn't on that interface apparently [20:35] or something like that [20:35] lifeless, it happens only on a specific project [20:35] is it private? [20:35] nope [20:35] dunno then [20:36] ok [20:36] oh possibly lots of branches [20:37] found the bug [20:37] max_branches_from_query == -1 [20:42] or not [20:43] jelmer: did you write some greasemonkey scripts for all the import herding you've been doing recently? [21:06] anyone that works on oops tools around: https://lp-oops.canonical.com/oops.py/?oopsid=1527L2262 [21:06] oopses [21:06] which is ironic [21:07] morning [21:48] mwhudson: no, what I do basically is open all 50 links on the table that lists the imports and then when I have a spare moment I process a tab and close it [21:54] jelmer: :) [21:55] I think I've processed most of the failing bzr-svn imports that could be restarted [21:55] there are still a few that are fixable but require the branch to be nuked and created again from scatch. [21:55] Unfortunately it's not possible to see what sort of subscriptions people have that are subscribed to the branch. [21:56] jelmer: yeah [21:56] that can be done server side, when we can find a sysadmin [21:57] And then there are those like mine (multidistrotools) that you retried yesterday that can probably never succeed because somebody imported a bzr branch into svn, versioning even the .bzr... [21:59] ugh [22:00] well [22:00] https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/launchpad-code/+bug/533225 will help with that? [22:00] Bug #533225: shouldn't create working tree for foreign branch imports [22:00] won [22:00] 't help you do anything useful with the resulting branch i guess [22:00] Right, I saw that yesterday. [22:01] well, you could push it back into svn or git and then check it out using either of those tools ? ;-) [22:01] But then realised that it wasn't going to help when somebody actually tried to use it. [22:01] Heh. [22:05] if you can convince whoever's running the svn repo to delete .bzr from tip though, then that should be enough [22:07] True. [22:07] I wonder if the repo is still alive. [22:09] Doesn't look like it. [22:32] mwhudson: btw, is there any reason for launchpad refusing usernames and passwords in import URLs? [22:32] jelmer: er, pass? [22:32] mwhudson: it seems like if the importer is allowed to use a particular combination it's not so secret? [22:33] jelmer: i plead "before my time" [22:33] mwhudson: (e.g. tigris requires or required test/test as username+pw) [22:33] mwhudson: ah :-) [22:33] if there's a reason to change it, i guess we should do that [22:33] (bazaar transports support usernames/passwords in URLs so using that would avoid involving the LOSAs where public credentials are involved) [22:34] that sounds like a reason to change it [22:55] * jelmer files teh bug [22:58] * thumper goes back to reducing unread count in his inbox [23:00] Do tree builds really need to take this long? [23:00] combinecss and create-lp-wadl take approximately far too long. [23:00] And I'm sure that most rarely use either. [23:05] mwhudson: you looking at bug 497428 ? [23:06] Bug #497428: Import on a large git repository is failing [23:06] thumper: i' [23:06] thumper: it was reported against launchpad-cscvs [23:06] ah [23:08] the fix is to scrap the branch and re-import it i think [23:08] which means waiting for spm to materialize [23:09] Public holiday. [23:09] yes [23:09] so, tomorrow [23:22] * thumper runs to get Maia and food [23:28] mmm food
