[00:09] anyone here with a decent amount of b.m.o experience? [00:09] ehe [00:09] try micahg [00:09] i was going to, but he's not on, haha [00:09] i can wait though [00:14] just ask [00:14] !ask [00:14] Please don't ask to ask a question, simply ask the question (all on ONE line and in the channel, so that others can read and follow it easily). If anyone knows the answer they will most likely reply. :-) [00:15] well i'm looking at bug 534606 and i'm wondering if mozilla 171237 is close enough to link them. didn't find anything better [00:15] Launchpad bug 534606 in firefox "Find positions match off-screen" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/534606 [00:15] Mozilla bug 171237 in Find In Page "Scroll view a few lines beyond occurrence of found search term with type ahead find to show more context instead of bottom of page" [Enhancement,New] http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171237 [00:16] the mozilla report is just about wanting extra lines of text after the find for convenience, while the lp report is about the find results being covered by a "toolbar" on the bottom of a website since the results are at the bottom [00:17] they want the same thing, but for different reasons, so idk if upstream would consider that the same or if they would want separate reports [00:20] that's why i was wondering if anyone here had enough experience with b.m.o to know what they would prefer upstream =) [00:24] ...i guess i'll wait for micah, haha [01:05] asac: late night ping.... [05:03] btw micahg , i did the packaging wrong yesterday, so i went through and tried it again the right way...and just like you figured would happen, debuild can't create a .dsc [05:04] ddecator: patching should fail [05:06] micahg: can't tell if that's what's happening or not: http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/395458/ [05:08] ddecator: you can't run that in your bzr checkout dir [05:08] ddecator: you need to test build locally and fix the patches first [05:09] micahg: ohhhhh, ok. does fixing the patches take long? [05:09] ddecator: bzr bd --merge --build-dir=../build-area --orig-dir=../tarballs/ -e [05:10] micahg: when and in where do i run that? [05:10] ddecator: that command merges changes in your debian bzr dir, takes a tarball from ../tarballs and prepares a build dir in ../build-area/ and stops [05:11] ddecator: then you go into the build-area dir and go into the songbird dir and then debuild -nc [05:11] micahg: ok, i think i get it. let me try [05:12] micahg: unknown command "bd"? am i missing another package? [05:12] ddecator: bzr-builddeb [05:13] micahg: yup, ty [05:40] micahg: after running 'debuild -nc' it ended with one patch failing [05:50] ddecator: k, I think I'm going to bed, so tomorrow night I can help you with quilt [05:51] micahg: sounds good, night === BUGabundo_remote is now known as BUGabundo_lunch === BUGabundo_lunch is now known as BUGabundo_remote [15:30] asac: ping [15:31] bdrung: thanks for the upload, I wasn't aware of the two things you mentioned in the bug but will keep in mind for the future [15:31] micahg: you're welcome [15:32] micahg: i recommend to use lintian -IE --pedantic --color=auto [15:33] bdrung: k, I'll pay more attention to the lintian errors [15:35] chrisccoulson_: I have the fix for bug 518422, but I need asac 's approval the inclulde it [15:35] Launchpad bug 518422 in firefox "Firefox does not start with certain addons installed" [High,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/518422 [15:41] micahg - cool. is that in addition to the change asac already did? [15:42] chrisccoulson_: it's an expanded version of what he did, it's from upstream, but hasn't been approved, hence I need asac's approval to land [15:42] excellent, thanks! [15:42] chrisccoulson_: has he been available at all today? [15:43] i haven't seen him about today === yofel_ is now known as yofel [18:22] asac: ping [18:51] rickspencer3: PM? [19:58] micahg, 'sup? [19:58] rickspencer3: wanted to talk about Beta 1 [19:59] sure [19:59] go ahead [19:59] I'd prefer a PM if possible [20:00] micahg, of course, no need to ask [20:09] mconnor: ping [22:32] chrisccoulson: https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~micahg/ubufox/ubufox-0.9b1-ubuntu2/+merge/21409 [22:41] excellent, i will look at that shortly [22:43] chrisccoulson: thanks, ping me if you need something else [23:19] chrisccoulson: seb128 merged my branch into the core-dev branch [23:19] micahg, yeah, i just asked him to do that :) [23:19] chrisccoulson: k, thanks [23:19] i can upload but i can't push to the branch [23:19] just about to upload it now [23:20] chrisccoulson: k, great [23:21] uploaded now :) [23:22] chrisccoulson: great, now I just hope they are approved :) [23:22] yeah, hopefully [23:22] chrisccoulson: thank you for your help [23:22] thank you for your help too :) [23:23] chrisccoulson: prism and fennec will have to wait until friday [23:23] yeah, that's no problem [23:23] chrisccoulson: so, how can I see who can upload what? [23:24] ah yes, first you need to grab the ubuntu-archive-tools (lp:ubuntu-archive-tools) [23:24] and in the source tree, there is a script called edit_acl.py [23:25] basically, you can run "edit_acl.py -s query" to view the uploaders for a package [23:26] or "edit_acl.py -p query" to view the priviliges for an individual [23:27] and to view the packages in a particulat package set, you can do "edit_acl.py -P -S query", eg, something like "edit_acl.py -P ubuntu-desktop -S lucid query"
