vishwould kinda nice to have one ;)15:21
vishwould be*15:22
nekohayoI'm part of the pitivi team, can someone give me the powers to see those silly "private" bug reports on pitivi on launchpad?16:43
nekohayoit's blocking me in my triaging16:43
nigelbnekohayo: you can apply to bug control detailing your upstream contribution16:44
nekohayoargh16:44
* nekohayo should copy-paste his gnome foundation membership application16:44
nigelbnekohayo: nah.  mostly about your bug triaging work.  Alternatively, poke jcastro16:45
nekohayohm16:45
nekohayoin the meantime can someone mark https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/537619 as public?16:56
ubot4`nekohayo: Error: Bug #537619 is private.16:56
nekohayoother bugs are marked as dupes of it, which doesn't help16:56
nekohayoor mark that private bug as a dupe of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pitivi/+bug/54279016:57
ubot4`Launchpad bug 542790 in pitivi (Ubuntu) "pitivi crashed with TypeError in do_simple_paint() (affects: 1)" [Undecided,New]16:57
kklimondanekohayo: i've marked #537619 as public16:57
nekohayothanks16:58
nigelbnekohayo: we can work around this.  got an idea16:58
nigelbask here and we'll subscribe you to the bugs16:58
nekohayo?16:58
nigelbI suggested signign up as bug contact so you're automatically subscibed16:58

nekohayobut I don't get the private bugs16:58

nekohayoyes indeed :)16:59
stradanewbie-confusion: bug #22374: there are two affected projects: 'OpenOffice' and 'openOffice.org (Ubuntu)'. I guess the first one is the upstream-project. Reading the activity-log it seems that it is not an upstream bug and it has already been fixed. The ubuntu-project is therefore marked as 'Fix released', but the upstream-project still as 'new', why? I guess this bug should not appear anymore in the list of new bugs.17:12
ubot4`Launchpad bug 22374 in openoffice.org (Ubuntu) (and 1 other project) "Thesaurus Greyed Out OpenOffice.org2 writer (affects: 1) (dups: 2)" [Medium,Fix released] https://launchpad.net/bugs/2237417:12
nigelbstrada: the reason for the bug is something that is built against an older version of Ooo.  should be fixed with a rebuild I think17:20
nigelbvish: you around?17:37
vishnigelb: o/17:37
nigelbvish: when you get the time make an icon for reviewers?17:37
nigelbwe can ask brian to include the icon in the launchpad-gm-scripts then :)17:37
vishnigelb: i was thinking of making one for the team.. already did one and added it for the 5-a-day team.. was just worried if dholbach would think i had an icon fetish :p17:39
vishnigelb: i'll say it was you ;p17:39
nigelbvish: no problem.  pin it on me17:39
* vish makes one..17:40
nigelbvish: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~gm-dev-launchpad/launchpad-gm-scripts/master/annotate/head%3A/lp_unified.user.js17:41
nigelbwe can add the team there, so the team's icon gets displayed in bug reports17:41
nigelbat least to other reviewers, so that we dont step on each other's foot17:41
vishnigelb: yeah , my thoughts too.. but as i said i didnt want to ping dholbach twice for an icon again ;)17:42
jcastronekohayo: ping.17:50
jcastronekohayo: what's your launchpad name?17:50
nigelbjcastro: https://launchpad.net/~kiddo should be it :)17:54
jcastroyeah found it, on it, thanks!17:54
nigelblooks like the accidental ping worked ;)17:54
jcastronekohayo: ok you're all set, you've got mail!17:58
nigelbjcastro: cheers.  that was fast :)17:59
vishjcastro: Hi , did you notice the ping about the murrine lp >  https://launchpad.net/gtk2-engines-murrine   .. it was a bit confusing when searching for murrine and having 2 projects :)17:59
jcastrono, what's the issue?18:00
vishthis seems the right one >  https://launchpad.net/murrine18:00
jcastrooh, right18:00
jcastrothe thing is when it's packaged in ubuntu it needs to have a registered upstream project otherwise you can't link bugs to it18:00
jcastrohmm, does murrine use launchpad?18:01
jcastroI don't think I knew that at the time18:01
edakiriI have a core dump from a crashed firefox.  I wish to inspect the code using the dump.  I have debug symbols installed.  I need the source also. apt-get source firefox-3.6 did not contain it.18:01
vishjcastro: the only issue is that when assigning the upstream task it was a bit confusing :) ..  since you owned the project  , just thought it might be nice if it was closed18:02
vishand the packages and desktop team seem to be using the murrine one18:03
nekohayoyeah18:03
nekohayojcastro, oh thanks!18:03
* nekohayo checks18:03
nekohayoand yeah, I should limit myself to pitivi bugs18:04
jcastrovish: awesome, as soon as I figure out how to do that in lp. heh.18:05
vishjcastro: thanks :)18:05
edakiriHow can I find out what package contains the source for me to debug?18:06
jcastroedakiri: I think it's just "firefox" now18:06
dwegenerI'm trying to boot the Lucid beta image from a USB stick.  When switching from the boot screen to X, the display fills with garbage the X server never comes up.  I can hear the Ubuntu startup sound, but can't do anything from the keyboard. I've tried switching to a tty terminal, but no luck.  I would like to report a bug, but I'm not sure where to start since the Ubuntu Bug reporting procedures assume you have a working system.19:51

ubot4`Launchpad bug 542975 in system-config-printer (Ubuntu) "Lucid Beta 1 - Printer test page should sport new artwork / theme (affects: 1)" [Undecided,New]20:52
