[00:09] ok, here it is :-) https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/542310 [00:09] Launchpad bug 542310 in ubiquity (Ubuntu) "Keyboard layout encoding problem (????) during install (affects: 1)" [Undecided,New] [00:11] if you translated xkeyboard-config (http://translationproject.org/domain/xkeyboard-config.html), you might be affected as well. [00:11] OMGZ thats nawt ubiquity :P [00:12] j/k [00:24] * bjwebb stabs xkeyboard-config [01:10] How would I report a bug against the LiveCD? The examples file has old logos. [01:32] has a bug been filed on the gnome-panel and nautilus in lucid not working after updates === Anzenketh|away is now known as tuxmaster === tuxmaster is now known as anzenketh [05:19] would it be improper to ask for this bug to be elevated? [05:19] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/496842 [05:19] Launchpad bug 496842 in linux (Ubuntu) (and 2 other projects) "Can't unblank certain Dell laptops after closing and reopening the lid (affects: 7)" [Undecided,Incomplete] [05:19] this should be a must-fix for lucid. [05:21] What sort of elevation do you desire? [05:21] The kernel task needs more information (please supply it) [05:22] i already did an apport-collect [05:22] Yeah, status failure. Change it back to "Confirmed". [05:23] what log told you that? [05:23] Just the bug log. [05:23] ah [05:23] Information was requested. Information was provided. Therefore it needs review again. === kermiac is now known as kermiac_ === kermiac_ is now known as kermiac === kermiac is now known as kermiac_ [15:21] thekorn: hi.. is the 5-a-day applet that bd_murray was mentioning still in progress? or was the plan dropped? [15:21] would kinda nice to have one ;) [15:22] would be* [16:43] I'm part of the pitivi team, can someone give me the powers to see those silly "private" bug reports on pitivi on launchpad? [16:43] it's blocking me in my triaging [16:44] nekohayo: you can apply to bug control detailing your upstream contribution [16:44] argh [16:44] * nekohayo should copy-paste his gnome foundation membership application [16:45] nekohayo: nah. mostly about your bug triaging work. Alternatively, poke jcastro [16:45] hm [16:56] in the meantime can someone mark https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/537619 as public? [16:56] nekohayo: Error: Bug #537619 is private. [16:56] other bugs are marked as dupes of it, which doesn't help [16:57] or mark that private bug as a dupe of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pitivi/+bug/542790 [16:57] Launchpad bug 542790 in pitivi (Ubuntu) "pitivi crashed with TypeError in do_simple_paint() (affects: 1)" [Undecided,New] [16:57] nekohayo: i've marked #537619 as public [16:58] thanks [16:58] nekohayo: we can work around this. got an idea [16:58] ask here and we'll subscribe you to the bugs [16:58] ? [16:58] I suggested signign up as bug contact so you're automatically subscibed [16:58] s/suggested/suggest [16:58] I already am, no? [16:58] but I don't get the private bugs [16:58] oh! [16:59] #fail [16:59] yes indeed :) [17:12] newbie-confusion: bug #22374: there are two affected projects: 'OpenOffice' and 'openOffice.org (Ubuntu)'. I guess the first one is the upstream-project. Reading the activity-log it seems that it is not an upstream bug and it has already been fixed. The ubuntu-project is therefore marked as 'Fix released', but the upstream-project still as 'new', why? I guess this bug should not appear anymore in the list of new bugs. [17:12] Launchpad bug 22374 in openoffice.org (Ubuntu) (and 1 other project) "Thesaurus Greyed Out OpenOffice.org2 writer (affects: 1) (dups: 2)" [Medium,Fix released] https://launchpad.net/bugs/22374 [17:20] strada: the reason for the bug is something that is built against an older version of Ooo. should be fixed with a rebuild I think [17:37] vish: you around? [17:37] nigelb: o/ [17:37] vish: when you get the time make an icon for reviewers? [17:37] we can ask brian to include the icon in the launchpad-gm-scripts then :) [17:39] nigelb: i was thinking of making one for the team.. already did one and added it for the 5-a-day team.. was just worried if dholbach would think i had an icon fetish :p [17:39] nigelb: i'll say it was you ;p [17:39] vish: no problem. pin it on me [17:40] * vish makes one.. [17:41] vish: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~gm-dev-launchpad/launchpad-gm-scripts/master/annotate/head%3A/lp_unified.user.js [17:41] we can add the team there, so the team's icon gets displayed in bug reports [17:41] at least to other reviewers, so that we dont step on each other's foot [17:42] nigelb: yeah , my thoughts too.. but as i said i didnt want to ping dholbach twice for an icon again ;) [17:50] nekohayo: ping. [17:50] nekohayo: what's your launchpad name? [17:54] jcastro: https://launchpad.net/~kiddo should be it :) [17:54] yeah found it, on it, thanks! [17:54] looks like the accidental ping worked ;) [17:58] nekohayo: ok you're all set, you've got mail! [17:59] jcastro: cheers. that was fast :) [17:59] jcastro: Hi , did you notice the ping about the murrine lp > https://launchpad.net/gtk2-engines-murrine .. it was a bit confusing when searching for murrine and having 2 projects :) [18:00] no, what's the issue? [18:00] this seems the right one > https://launchpad.net/murrine [18:00] oh, right [18:00] the thing is when it's packaged in ubuntu it needs to have a registered upstream project otherwise you can't link bugs to it [18:01] hmm, does murrine use launchpad? [18:01] I don't think I knew that at the time [18:01] I have a core dump from a crashed firefox. I wish to inspect the code using the dump. I have debug symbols installed. I need the source also. apt-get source firefox-3.6 did not contain it. [18:02] jcastro: the only issue is that when assigning the upstream task it was a bit confusing :) .. since you owned the project , just thought it might be nice if it was closed [18:03] and the packages and desktop team seem to be using the murrine one [18:03] yeah [18:03] jcastro, oh thanks! [18:03] * nekohayo checks [18:04] and yeah, I should limit myself to pitivi bugs [18:05] vish: awesome, as soon as I figure out how to do that in lp. heh. [18:05] jcastro: thanks :) [18:06] How can I find out what package contains the source for me to debug? [18:06] edakiri: I think it's just "firefox" now [19:51] I'm trying to boot the Lucid beta image from a USB stick. When switching from the boot screen to X, the display fills with garbage the X server never comes up. I can hear the Ubuntu startup sound, but can't do anything from the keyboard. I've tried switching to a tty terminal, but no luck. I would like to report a bug, but I'm not sure where to start since the Ubuntu Bug reporting procedures assume you have a working system. [19:53] hggdh, ping [19:57] vish: hey, you mean a rewrite wich works with the current 5-a-day data? === radoe_ is now known as radoe [19:58] thekorn: i think so , wasnt that what you were discussing the other day? [20:01] vish: hmm, yes, I think we discussed it a few weeks ago [20:01] and yes, it wold be really nice to have [20:02] ;) [20:02] I promise to work on it whenever I have a few hours of time and feel like doing some gtk stuff ;) [20:52] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/system-config-printer/+bug/542975 [20:52] Launchpad bug 542975 in system-config-printer (Ubuntu) "Lucid Beta 1 - Printer test page should sport new artwork / theme (affects: 1)" [Undecided,New] [20:52] anyone want to help out with this low hanging lucid fruit?
