Many teachers here are reporting that the booting halts on 'Begin: Running scripts: init-bottom ...' - so the problem might be either udev or plymouth, so I tried to remove plymouth from the chroot, but ltsp-client depends on it... [16:44] I wonder why plymouth is causing so much trouble all over.. [17:41] alkisg: mountall will likely fail if plymouth isn't installed and so will other parts of the initramfs [17:41] alkisg: I'm starting some tests here on 5.2.1 === mhall119|work is now known as mhall119 === joerg__ is now known as joerg [19:14] hi [19:15] hi joerg [19:18] hya joerg and Lns [19:18] hi, guys :) [19:18] hey all =) [19:19] So in all of your experiences, what is the most common question you've been asked when saying "Hey you should try Edubuntu!" to a school? [19:19] or anyone really [19:21] "How do I install this software that I bought from the shop down the street" [19:21] (or received from the department education, etc) [19:23] "Don't you have to be a CS major to run Linux?" [19:24] "Will it be too hard for kids to use?" [19:24] where is the C: drive? is a good question as well :) [19:24] be prepared :) [19:25] You guys rock! Thanks..keep em coming if you have more! [19:25] I'm trying to get a really good FAQ for this [19:25] "Will this work with my ?" [19:26] "Can I open PDF files on linux?" [19:26] "where can I buy it for my home computer?" :) [19:27] hehe [19:28] "Don't I have to master DOS commands to use a linux system?" :o) [19:30] My favorite is "What records am I required to keep for a license audit?" [19:31] My least favorite is, "Is this certified by ?" [19:32] (Many grant programs here in the US financially penalize schools for using Open Source.) [19:39] "But we don't pay anything for windows either" / "We have ms school agreement, can we get rid of it?"
