charlie-tcaalso, notifications are not upgraded or not right, at least. they appear in the bottom right corner12:45

mvocharlie-tca: it should replace notificatoin-daemon with notify-osd?12:46
charlie-tcaIt should remove notification-daemon12:47
charlie-tcanotify-osd is there after the upgrade12:47
charlie-tcaOn a fresh lucid install, notification-daemon is not installed12:47
charlie-tcaxsplash is also not installed12:53
charlie-tcaThat shouldn't matter; I see a ton of messages between grub and the xubuntu splash screen, though. ????udev will be removed in the next version....12:55
charlie-tcaI am not seeing the plymouth splash screen on the upgraded system12:56
fmanachhi guys13:33
arahey fmanach13:36
* ara -> lunch13:36
fmanachI was just wondering... I'm testing Lucid... What will be the steps when It will be release ? Will I get the stable point by point with software upgrades during the beta ? Will I need to run update-manager -d again ?13:36
charlie-tcaIf you run the updates regularly, it will be the same as the final.13:37

fader_davmor2: different bug, actually13:43
fader_Some people were buying music, getting charged, but then getting an error rather than a download13:43
davmor2fader_: and your issue might be tied into that too if you think about it logically ;)13:44
fader_Yeah, I had hoped so but it doesn't seem to be the case13:45
fader_At least the devs don't seem to think so :)13:45
davmor2just pick on aq ;)13:48

komputesHi everyone, I have a recurring problem on Lucid - reproducible two different computers but would like to know how I should report it. What happens is I lock my screen and leave my computer unattended, and the screen goes black or displays "Out of range" and does not come back to the desktop, or to the password prompt when I move my mouse or type on the keyboard. I still have ssh access to the box, what information would be useful to re18:52
komputesport in a bug?18:52
charlie-tcakomputes: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume19:03
charlie-tcaI think19:05
komputescharlie-tca: these computers are not laptops not are set to suspend19:06
charlie-tcaOh, yeah, how about this one: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingGNOMEPowerManager19:07
komputescharlie-tca: plus if it were sleeping, i would not be able to ssh into it19:07
charlie-tcawhich is really what causes the screen to black out19:07
komputesok, cheers19:07
charlie-tcasorry19:07
charlie-tcaInstead of apport-collect, you can use apport-cli to collect the information and save it, I think19:09
komputesThanks charlie-tca, I've reported my issue as Bug #54716719:17
ubot4`Launchpad bug 547167 in gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) "Screen goes black when unattended and does not return (affects: 1)" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/54716719:17
