benomaticanybody using the 10.04 beta2 release?  i have a 9.10 box with broken audio, and my sound motherboard/audio is reported to work again in 10.04.  i mainly wonder about the myth0.23cr2 more than the ubuntu bits.00:52
tgm4883benomatic, I have 10.04 updated, but I didn't install from beta201:16
benomatictgm4883: is it reasonably stable? (myth 0.23-xxx, that is)01:17
tgm4883yea I use it on my prod box01:24
tgm4883I don't have any major issues with it01:24
tgm4883!hardware01:24
ZinnIf you are looking for Mythbuntu Hardware to setup a dedicated PVR, why not have it already built and working? Check out http://www.mythbuntu.org/merchandise01:24

tgm4883hmm01:25
tgm4883actually, that needs updated01:25
benomatici've already got all the hardware, and the sound worked in 9.04; but when i upgraded to 9.10, audio disappeared.01:25
benomaticso either coincidental hw failure, or something else bad.01:26
nichoshi all, i have the hvr-2250, should I install the mythbuntu 10 beta or the 9 and try to make it work?02:44
nichosmy assumption is since 10 includes the newer kernel it would be easier02:44
rhpot1991nichos: well 10.04 will be out the end of the month, and it includes mythtv 0.23, and you are right it will have a newer kernel02:57
rhpot1991so if your device isn't supported in 9.10 then you should give 10.04 a shot02:57
nichosrhpot1991: thanks for the response. I've just burned rc2 and am about to plop it in:)02:57
rhpot1991nichos: excellent, please report any bugs you may find02:58
nichoswe'll do!02:58

nichostgm4883: yes, well, the analog isn't working in linux yet:)03:43
tgm4883digital doesn't show up under /dev/video*03:43
tgm4883IIRC, you need to set that up in mythtv as a DVB card03:44
