bencrisfordhighvolt1ge: what are the rules on homemade marketing materials?  im wondering if im allowed to show the edubuntu 10.04 banner on my blog or whether only official graphics are allowed17:19
mhall119good afternoon17:40

stgraberbencrisford: it really depends on the artwork you made out of the official logo. Using it as-is is generally fine, derivative work are also mostly fine when non-business related18:27
stgraberbencrisford: Canonical still owns the trademark but as they aren't really involved in Edubuntu anymore, we can quite easily do what we want with the logo. Only thing I agreed while in London last month was that we'd try to follow Ubuntu's artwork (colors, logo, theme, ..) as much as possible with Canonical providing us with the updated logo and font as needed.18:28
bencrisfordstgraber: ok, so if i put this on my blog - http://i42.tinypic.com/mctf28.gif - that would be ok?18:39
stgraberbencrisford: sure19:08
