| VinceN | I'm concerned about a long standing bug the came up with the 9.10 release documented on launchpad under Bug #451337. It's a cooling fan issue with an Acer Aspire series laptop. I've been stuck using a patched -14 kernel and I keep hearing a fix is coming but nothing ever seems to materialize in the newer releases. I'm very concerned about what those who are affected are going to do when Lucid comes out. | 20:35 |

| VinceN | I have contacted the Bug Maintainer, Andy Whitcroft and was advised someone had closed the bug out, it got reopened and he was going to try to find someone to work on it. Never heard anything back. I offered to help since I have one of the affected machines. I'd work on it myself but i'm afraid this kind of thing is way way way way above my knowlage level. | 20:38 |
