[18:39] <vbgunz> It sure is good to have Windows around. I rebooted into it and sure enough my drive was screwed. It wouldn't eject once a disc was inserted and it wouldn't read it there. So that ruled out Kubuntu. I next went to the Asus site and got the latest firmware for it and installed it and the drive works again. Thanks fellas!
