DASPRiDcjwatson, very well, thank you00:24
bencerwhere can i find the scripts used to build -desktop iso images ? i've hacked ubiquity with some custom modifications and now i want to build the iso image ...14:50
persialivecd-rootfs and debian-cd and lp:ubuntu-cdimage, but you don't want to use those for rebuilding: see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomization14:51
bencerok, going to have a look at that wiki page14:52
benceri dont want full ubuntu-desktop on the image, so i'll need to do something like https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomizationFromScratch14:56
bencerlast time i did these things where dapper ages :)14:57
persiaIf you're doing that, you might find livecd-rootfs useful.  Modifying that might help get quite a way through that.15:06
bencerpersia: i guess that -alternate and -server are built using debian-cd and -desktop is built livecd-rootfs ... right ?15:19
persiaI thought everything was built by debian-cd, and that the live images used artifacts generated by livecd-rootfs, but I'll admit to mostly only touching code that I find with grep, rather than having a complete understanding.15:26
persiaAnyway, I'm certain you don't want to set up debian-cd locally unless you need to make lots of different CDs.15:27
benceryes makes sense, just i was curious if ubuntu was using livecd-rootfs for the desktop because livecd on debian is built using live-helper not debian-cd15:43
