DanaGnow, did my link make it through the net split?00:03
cwillu_at_workooooo, my zippy2arrived!00:22
cwillu_at_workwith standoffs and everything!00:25
DanaGnow, beagle xm + zippy2 would be fun.01:28
DanaGI'm curious what sort of bandwidth the zippy2 ethernet has.01:28
rcn-eeDanaG, except the xm has an ethernet port... ;)  my zippy2 gets around 900kb/1Mb download with wget...01:36
DanaGI mean, it would be fun for use as a router, or such.02:02
DanaGThough, I guess SPI could be the limiting factor.02:03
DanaGOh, and 16-gig micro sdhc card on newegg for 40 bucks a while ago... wow.02:03
rcn-eeyeah spi's one of the limits.. in my tests 36Mhz was the limit of the SPI bus, but anything past 20Mhz didn't really add any improvement...02:05

cwillu_at_workrcn-ee, I have the distinct impression that you don't have any zippy2 patches in your kernel :)10:59
rcn-eehey cwillu_at_work pre 2.6.33.3-l1 it has a zippy2 name.. ;) with the latest u-boot you pass buddy=$buddy to the bootargs and it detects. it..  use the fresh 2.6.33.3-l2..15:42
rcn-eeverify with "dmesg | grep expansion"15:43

mozzwaldwill the ubuntu jaunty arm port run on the intel xscale pxa27x processor with kernel 2.6.29?16:53
armin76mozzwald: if its armv5te yes17:45
mozzwaldarmin76: thanks18:24
DanaGhmm, how well-supported is btrfs in Ubuntu? I rememeber somebody in here (I think) saying he used it.18:24
aboganiDanaG: Not at all18:26
rcn-eeDanaG, works pretty good on the beagle for cwillu_at_work ...18:27
DanaGI have an old system that keeps giving me random segfaults all over the place... so I was pondering putting it on btrfs.18:39
DanaGIt also randomly ends up with /var/lib/dpkg/info slightly corrupted:18:39
DanaGDepends: some_package (.> 1.2.whatever)18:39
DanaGsyntax error at "."18:39
rcn-eethat actually might be a hardware problem too...18:39
DanaGyeah.18:40
DanaGoh yeah, and it's funny that flash_kernel flashes the kernel and initramfs to nand.... but u-boot doesn't actually use it from there.18:41
rcn-eeyeah there's another script that changes the Nand Enviromnt to point to the kernel/initramfs in flash...18:41
DanaGAnd on the nand-less XM, both will be a no-go. =รพ18:43
rcn-eeyeap... non issue, my elinux guide recommends the boot.scr on sd card method...18:44
DanaGI'm just wondering what Ubuntu itself will do, officially, for the XM.  Right now, it's not out-of-the-box usable from just what's in the repos, at least last time I checked.19:11
rcn-eei don't know...  Even the current NetInstall is going to bomb, since it grep's for "OMAP3 Beagl..." which the XM is going to share the same /proc/cpuinfo id...19:17
