Problem is the laptop I record on is also my main home machine. If I run on linux-rt or linux-preempt will my regular day-to-day tasks be harmed? [15:04] I don't want to reboot every time I want to write music and then reboot again when I want to play games or browse the web. [15:57] vlada: if your running compiz [15:57] the greyed-out state is not necessarily bad [15:58] it depends on how long qjack is unresponsive [15:58] holstein, I know, but waiting 1 minute is [15:58] :) [15:58] vlada: launch it in a terminal [15:58] qjackctl [15:59] if I kill pulse audio daemon manually, then it works [15:59] and see if you get any info [15:59] OK [15:59] I've found workaround [15:59] holstein, thank you [15:59] i guess its just greying about suspending pulse [16:00] I believe so too [22:58] Is it possible to overwrite my os with virtualbox? ...
