sbalneavhighvoltage: I'm up to my arse in Alligators today, but could you and I set aside some time tomorrow to walk me through the upload procedure for fixing bugs?15:55
sbalneavI've got a few I can work on for the edu apps.15:55
highvoltagesbalneav: yep!15:55
highvoltagesbalneav: I'm catching up today on all my communication that's behind (and realising how far behind I actually was)15:56
highvoltagesbalneav: I was just about to ask you if you're still interested in that hide-tool, I'd like to help you implement the suggestions that LaserJock made and then we could get it into the archives15:56
sbalneavAbsolutely15:57
sbalneavDid that come up at the UDS?15:57
highvoltageok great. ping me tomorrow when you have some time. in the meantime I'll leave you do the alligators :)15:57

LedHedI installed the LTSP standalone package,  then I did ltsp-build-client,  its downloading a kernel, but its downloading at 900b/s (taking 8hrs).  How can I cancel the download without destroying the build process?20:50
bencrisfordhighvoltage: meeting notes already?  that was quick!21:03
LedHedis there a way to specify a different mirror when running ltsp-build-client?21:04
LedHednever mind.  I found the answer21:05
mhall119man, even when I'm there for meetings, I'm mostly gone21:08
highvoltagebencrisford: hehe21:08
bencrisfordsubscribed to ubuntu-education list21:09
bencrisford:)21:09
mhall119highvoltage: tell me what you think: http://www.quinncoincorporated.org/ubiquity-qimo/21:13
mhall119I'm waiting on new images for the first 2 slides21:13
bencrisfordmhall119: im no ubiquity whizz, but I think it looks awesome :)21:16
mhall119thanks21:16
mhall119highvoltage is our ubiquity whiz here21:16
bencrisford:) he created our edubuntu slideshow right?21:17
mhall119I asked my son (6) what he would want to say about each game21:18
mhall119he said "I don't know" about everything but Tux Paint21:18
mhall119he told me "Everything is fun on Tux Paint"21:18
mhall119yes, highvoltage did the Edubuntu slides21:18
bencrisfordeverything is fun :D yay21:20
bencrisfordI have to admit, it is kind of fun21:22
mhall119I think mine spend 80% of their computer time in tuxpaint21:24
bencrisfordhaha21:24
highvoltagemhall119: very nice21:25
mhall119once I get qimo 2 on there, my son will probably spend more time in Laby and less in Tux Paint21:25
mhall119highvoltage: thanks21:25
highvoltagethe transparent pics definitely look much nicer than the square ones21:25
mhall119my wife is proof reading my spelling and grammar21:25
highvoltageI can see why you want to replace them :)21:25
mhall119yeah, I like the transparency21:25
mhall119I had to make a custom image for Tux Type though, all the game images were too low-res21:26
highvoltagehmm... I wonder if we could show the Qimo slides when someone chooses to install qimo from an edubuntu disc21:26
mhall119but I kind of like it21:26
mhall119highvoltage: I'm not sure how to go about doing that21:26
mhall119maybe we can symlink a set of slides depending on options chosen during setup?21:26
highvoltagemhall119: Laby sounds kind of cool, we don't have it in edubuntu21:27
mhall119it would be cool though, to have slides specific to the profile you're installing21:27
highvoltagemhall119: yep that's what I thought too21:27
mhall119highvoltage: you should, it's a great little game21:27
mhall119does Python, C, Java, and a few others21:27
mhall119though I restricted the Qimo launcher to only give the Python option21:27
highvoltagepython is plenty enough :)21:28
mhall119my son started on it when he was 5, so I think it'll do21:28
highvoltagewow21:28
mhall119he's been hounding me to put Laby on his computer ever sincde21:28
highvoltageI only started with BASIC when I was 621:28
* highvoltage = jealous21:28
mhall119but it's running 8.04 right now, and no laby packages for that21:29
mhall119yeah, he's an interesting child21:29
mhall119highvoltage: http://www.pps.jussieu.fr/~gimenez/laby/21:30
mhall119http://img62.imageshack.us/i/quinnlaby.png/ is what my son wrote all by himself while "testing" an alpha of Qimo 221:31
mhall119okay, leaving for home, I'll  be online again later21:33
highvoltageok bye mhall119!21:35
bencrisfordhmm, I think I am going to try and get some sleepy-time22:30
