Pwenhi all. I have totally broken my mythtv install; selected 0.24 in the control centre, some components updated and some not, switched it back to 0.23+fixes, wondering how to uninstall and reinstall the whole thing?00:03
qwebirc65544Having an issue with the exporting (via Optical Disks -> Archive Files).  I have a recording and it has a cut list and has also been transcoded.  If I view the recording within Myth the cutlist is observed (no commercials).  However the exported recording still has the commercials.  Any ideas?00:11
GeminiDominoOn a fresh install of MythBuntu 10.4, whenever I try to "Watch A DVD", I get thrown into an unresponsive "LCD Device display" screen that drops back to the menu a few seconds later. Anyone have a line on this?08:57
GeminiDominoNever mind. Must have been a bug because enabling daily builds and updating took care of it09:24
hans__Good Morning! ^^09:45
hans__One question... i want to create a computer for home-recording from Satellite "Astra". An old computer is now equipped with an skystar2 receiver and i want to install Mythbuntu on that machine.09:48
hans__The computer starts up and shows a black screen and nothing more happens. It starts up about 3 minutes and it stays in a black screen.09:49
hans__Are there any boot options for an other resolution or anything like that?09:49
draikHello everyone17:28
Nixon<everyone> Hello draik!17:28
draikHello17:29
draikHello some17:29
draikHello everyone17:29
draikWell, enough of that17:29
draikI'm trying to see the screenshots of Mythbuntu from the site, but they never load17:30
draikAlso, I built my own home server with (currently) 2 drives. One drive has the OS (currenly Kubuntu) and the 2nd drive has all of my DVD iso images. How can I have Mythbuntu automatically mount an ISO of my choosing for frontend viewing?17:31
tgm4883draik, link to pictures?17:41
draikhttp://www.mythbuntu.org/category/image-galleries/1004/mythbuntu-control-centre17:41
tgm4883strange17:42
tgm4883they load here17:42
tgm4883what browser are you using?17:42
draikClick on an image17:42
draikDoes it load up for you?17:42
draikI'm on FF and Opera17:42
tgm4883also, Mythvideo will mount your ISO's for you if you set it up for legacy use17:43
mrandtgm4883: they don't load for me either.  I even have Adblock disabled for the site.17:43
tgm4883mrand, hmm, not loading for me either17:44
tgm4883odd17:44
tgm4883looks like the file doesn't exist17:45
tgm4883which would explain why it doesn't load17:45
tgm4883the preview doesn't exist17:45
draikClick on the heading under the image, that will load17:45
tgm4883yea17:46
draikRegarding the ISO, how will that work?17:47
draikDo I just choose the ISO on the server itself and it will auto-load it or do I have to manually mount it?17:47
tgm4883draik, is the mythtv frontend the same machine?17:48
draikFor now, yes17:48
draikI'm going to build a frontend from a shuttle or something small that I can toss upstairs in my room.17:49
draikSince it is going to be wireless (the box in my room), I was thinking that I'll sshfs, but if mythbuntu can mount it on the backend and stream it wirelessly for me, then I'm all set17:50
tgm4883draik, for ISO's you will need to mount the dir locally17:51
tgm4883then the frontend would mount the ISO for you17:51
tgm4883if you didn't use ISO's, it would all happen automatically for you17:51
draikYeah, they are all ISO17:52
tgm4883then you will have to mount the dir locally and disable mythvideo storage groups17:52
draikHmmm17:53
draikMaybe mythbuntu isn't what I should be using if I can just leave it now as the server that it is.17:53
tgm4883yea i'd leave the server alone17:56
tgm4883if you have a tv card in it, you could install the backend on it17:57
draikNo, I don't have a tuner card at all17:58
draikI was debating if I should add one or not17:58
draikBut I don't have a TV in my study downstairs, so I decided it would be a waste.17:58
tgm4883well that you could stream to other mythtv frontends automatically18:00
draikHaving a tuner card is required for that?18:01
tgm4883to stream TV18:01
tgm4883not ISO's18:01
tgm4883i mean, you would have to record somehow right?18:02
draikMy server only has ISO for all of the DVDs that I own18:02
tgm4883right, and then we were discussing TV18:03
draiktuner card with no TV/cable access.18:04
tgm4883ah no cable access18:04
tgm4883that is much different than no TV18:04
draikRight. Sorry.18:04
draikWell, I could have access to it, but it would be a hassle to have a new set of wires running through the house and so forth. Better to leave it as-is right now.18:05
qwebirc83560Hello I have a problem with my tv card, I can use composite but I cannot scan for channels. what must I do ?18:09

qwebirc83259Where can I find the log ?18:15
tgm4883!logs | qwebirc8325918:16
Zinnqwebirc83259: MythTV logs are stored in /var/log/mythtv/   You can use mythbuntu-log-grabber from the Applications menu to automatically post the most relevant logs to our pastebin.18:16
