gerhard_Hi there! Can I use multiple audio programs together with alsa, jack and pulseaudio at the same time?#00:53
rlameiropulse audio is on the way in there00:55
rlameirobut there are some plugins for pulse audio00:55
rlameirojack-pa sink and source00:55
gerhard_How to use PulseAudio Jack Sink00:56
rlameiroyou would need to runn qjackctl directly, because if you run it from a menu or by qjakctl it will pause pulse audio00:56
makerprofazeanyone here using native linux vsts?00:56
rlameiroso you should run qjackctl.bin00:56
rlameiroand search for the jack sink and source for pulse audio00:57
rlameiroon the packages and then run them00:57
rlameirothe things about pulse and jack arent very friendly for now00:57
rlameiromaybe on the near future there would be a better solution00:57
gerhard_<rlameiro> How can I test/figure out that an application connects through  jack-pa sink to jack -> alsa?00:59
gerhard_Which app does that? last.fm player blocks alsa hw 0:001:00
rlameirowhen you run the plugin, it will show up on the jack connections01:00
rlameirothen just connect it where you want01:00
gerhard_Yes. It does.01:00
rlameirobut remeber, you should stat qjackctl.bin, not the usual way01:00
gerhard_But the other applications (not jack aware ones) didn't appear...01:01
rlameirowell, they all sink to one output01:01
rlameiroyou have no control of it in jack01:01
rlameiroits like the output of all the pulse audio apps into one stereo stream01:01
rlameiroi am not actually an expert on that, because i dont use pa at the same time01:02
gerhard_I thought jack-pa sink is the glue to make them appear in jack01:02
rlameiroi use only jack when i need pro stuff beeing made01:02
rlameirothey appear as a stream all together01:02
rlameiroyou don have access to each software from jack01:02
rlameirofor that they would need to be jack native01:03
gerhard_ok, that even doesn't work with a jackplug in .asoundrc, isnt it?01:03
rlameiroi dont know about it01:03
rlameirogerhard_: try to ask in #opensourcemusicians01:04
rlameirothere are people in there trying it01:04
rlameiromaybe they can help you better then me01:04
