[01:42] hello [13:18] hi [13:18] i am unable to get nvidia drivers running [13:18] installed he nvidia-current pkg but after doing nvidia-xconfig Xorg wont start anymore [13:19] saying smth like nvidia driver not found [14:23] erdem I actually had a lot of trouble with this yesterday. my nvidia drivers kept crashing on startup. Unfortuntately I have no resolution, i just decided to install proper 10.04 [15:46] hyey fbxxkl [15:47] how is it going? [15:48] with the generic install [16:51] Fine for now. I was having a lot of issues with Ubuntu-Studio [16:51] sorry to hear that [16:52] So I just wrote down a lot of the applications so I can try it out that way. [16:52] Ya my biggest issue was with my wireless and my graphics card [16:52] and your graphics card is cool now? [16:52] yea with desktop 10.04 its running great along with wireless [16:53] interesting [16:53] i can assume why the wireless works [16:53] but the video should be the same [16:53] yea I was getting xorg crashing and stuff when I would start up [16:54] I would also get a ton of clipping and erroneous video errors all of the screen [16:54] did you report @ LP ? [16:54] no, I couldn't report at the time cause i had no net [16:54] heh [16:54] hmmm [16:55] I tried a bunch of the error solutions [16:55] but nothing would fix it so I started up in low graphics mode [16:55] you could just do a vague report that has your graphics card info [16:55] that might be enough [16:55] where would I do that. I would love to contribute [16:56] i would try here https://launchpad.net/ubuntustudio [16:56] let me know if it doesnt work out [16:56] * holstein BBL [16:56] ok later
