braiampIf I modify the package to only works for squid3, what version it should have?11:06
braiampSecond: The original maintainer should be who modify/create the package?11:08

Laneygeser: I fixed that bug in Debian btw, awaits sponsoring now12:48
shadeslayerm12:48
geserLaney: thanks; do you know if some haskell package need a longer time out on armel or is it a real bug? e.g. http://launchpadlibrarian.net/51127163/buildlog_ubuntu-maverick-armel.haskell-src-exts_1.8.2-3_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz12:49
Laneygeser: It's a problem, arguably, in GHC. We've been applying a fix/workaround in Debian for some of them, but haven't gotten around to doing all of them so far12:50
Laneyfor src-exts you can look at syncing the new version12:51
Laneybut yeah it's a known problem that slow arches have trouble building big packages unfortunately12:51
LaneyI'll probably blitz the Haskell stuff in the next couple of weeks btw12:57
RhondaLaney: sponsoring in Debian, or in ubuntu?13:44
RhondaI don't understand the last response in bug #55614813:45
ubottuLaunchpad bug 556148 in wesnoth (Ubuntu) "After removing game still some files are left." [Undecided,Invalid] https://launchpad.net/bugs/55614813:45
RhondaThough, I guess I can safely ignore it as it's marked invalid anyway.13:46
JontheEchidnaI think he thinks that purging a package should do what he wants. (But it only removes config stuff from /etc)13:48
RhondaRight, but that was already answered.13:48
RhondaI even have troubles parsing the sentence properly.13:49
JontheEchidnaI think he wants to know which files purge would remove, if they don't remove the ones in ~/13:49
JontheEchidnaI do not get his last sentence, no matter how I look at it13:50
RhondaI don't like to get user questions unanswered, especially not in "my" packages.  %-)13:52
arandRhonda: I guess it's just a continuation: "What does purge remove? Where is the stuff purge removes?" And last just a statement "I thought purge removed ~/.config"13:59
RhondaRight. I hope my response is helpful and gets through.13:59
arandRhonda: User Kangarooo is present in #ubuntu-bugs btw14:00
Rhondaarand: You told me that, guided me there, then send me "bummer"? I don't get it …14:08
tdevhi everyone :)14:32
tdevcould i someone possibly motivate to be package maintainer for our software?14:34

lfaraoneThere is an upstream group that makes a series of predicatable, six-month stable releases with a number of bugfix releases in between. These updates do not introduce any new features. Would it be possible to work out something with the Ubuntu release team to ease the update proceedure for these packages?19:37
