[03:00] Hey all. I have a fresh install of studio 9.1 and want to fully ugrade to 10.04 anyone now a good document that instructs how to do this [03:00] hey epsmith [03:00] pretty much [03:00] you just run the update manager [03:01] hi holstein [03:01] system - administration - update manager [03:01] you should have an 'alert' at the top [03:01] that says 'distrobution update available' [03:01] or something like that [03:02] if not [03:02] in the update-manager window [03:02] there is a settings button [03:02] ok. I didn't know if it needed a cli upgrade with apt-get or not. Will the update manager pick up the change to the /etc/apt/sources.list for the studio stuff? [03:02] epsmith: that depends [03:02] do you have a lot of custom repos? [03:03] nope. its a fresh ubuntu install. I haven't even activated the backports [03:03] either way [03:03] the end result is going to be the same [03:04] and if your mostly default you *should* have no problems [03:04] you do have to answer a few questions along the way [03:04] and it takes quite a while [03:04] ok good. should I turn on backports and canonical? [03:05] BUT i ran about 4 upgrades [03:05] and all went well [03:05] epsmith: you shouldnt need to enable anything extra [03:05] i would just run it [03:05] ok. well I'm updating 9.1 to current right now and then will do the upgrade to 10.4 before I go to bed. [03:05] you'll be migrating to new repos anyways [03:06] thanks for your help holstein [03:06] later man [03:06] anytime [03:06] good luck :) [04:38] hey holstein [09:20] how do i get better connections over wifi? [09:56] are there better drivers for my linksys wifi adapter? [10:16] is ubuntu un supported? [11:04] hi all!
