[02:07] tjaalton, dunno [03:05] bryceh: ah, some mistake then [03:08] wonder when they're going to add some additional amd64 ppa builders [03:08] tjaalton, oh figured out, that was in my xchat scroll buffer on a laptop I hadn't used since UDS in belgium [03:09] tjaalton, you'd asked me something about BEL at the time [03:12] bryceh: haha, okay :) === yofel_ is now known as yofel [13:18] I'd appreciate feedback on getting the proposed fix for Bug #569879 in for 10.04.1. It seems to solve the problem here. [13:18] Launchpad bug 569879 in xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu Lucid) (and 1 other project) "Non-admin user logout fails on Lucid (affects: 8) (heat: 56)" [High,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/569879 [13:27] sounds reasonable [13:40] bryceh: Any objections if I upload it for an SRU of xorg-server? [13:43] ScottK: Were you perhaps after me? [13:43] RAOF: I was, but I'd forgotten. Sorry. [13:53] ScottK: I have no objections. [13:54] RAOF: Thanks. I'll try to get that up in the next day or two. [15:00] maybe i should get that patch in 1.7-branch upstream [15:10] funny, I thought the same thing regarding that commit a few months ago :) https://edge.launchpad.net/~sarvatt/+archive/bugsbugsbugs/+packages [15:10] but it didn't fix the problem in the guy i was helping's case [15:11] ScottK, yeah coordinate thru raof [15:33] Sarvatt: How much do we still need the disable-pageflipping patch with 2.12 & 2.6.35-rc5? [15:34] i dont need it at all on 945 anymore at least [15:35] And all the upstream bugs mentioned in the patch seem to be closed, too. === Amaranth_ is now known as Amaranth [17:43] What needs to be done to get the bug #541492 fixes into Lucid and Maverick? [17:43] Launchpad bug 541492 in xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu Lucid) (and 2 other projects) "MASTER: [i845] GPU lockup (apport-crash) (Should KMS be blacklisted?) (affects: 78) (dups: 30) (heat: 523)" [High,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/541492 [18:17] Hi, I'm having complete hangs (so no logs at all) on my nvidia 8600m based laptop, and I'd like to try some newer nvidia drivers to see if they fix the problem. Are they available in some ppa, or is my only option to install the drivers from their site? [18:19] Ah, I just found 256.35-0ubuntu2~xup2 in https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates, I guess I'll use those... [19:35] Hello. I would like to upload python-pyopencl into Ubuntu, and this package depends on files contained in nvidia-common and nvidia-current-dev (build-dep). [19:45] will probably be tricky until nvidia-current-dev is split off into another package since the opencl stuff is installed to a nonstandard location with no .pc [19:46] tomus, it depends on the opencl headers? [19:48] Yes. I had to add parameter to ./configure pointing to /usr/linclude/nvidia-current to be able to build on Ubuntu, but it builds succesfully. [19:48] There are maybe four lines of difference between Debian and Ubuntu files. [19:51] i imagine the opencl headers will be in their own separate package at some point in the distant future [20:00] OK. Good to know. [20:01] For now few people ask me about creating Ubuntu package. I would like to create PPA on launchpad, experiment there a little and then ask someone to sponsor package. Is that OK? [20:02] On #debian-ubuntu I was advised to fill sync request - is in neccessary? [20:29] you need to merge it instead of syncing since it needs ubuntu specific changes, #ubuntu-motu is the place to go about getting it into ubuntu [20:44] Thanks for information.
