[00:20] anyone here have troubles with mysql not starting on bootup? [00:25] nwidger, not me, what seems to be the issue? [00:25] tgm4883: well... post boot i can start mysql fine with 'sudo start mysql' [00:26] but it's init config file /etc/init/mysql.conf has been untouched [00:26] but now mysql is not started after i boot up [00:28] nwidger, is this mythbuntu or ubuntu+mythtv? [00:28] and what release? [00:28] tgm4883: mythbuntu lucid [00:29] hmm, odd [00:29] I haven't heard of the issue, and I run 9.10 on my backend myself [00:29] oh [00:31] nwidger, It's home time for myself, I'll think about it on my way home. Maybe someone else will chime in [00:31] ok thanks :) [02:37] tgm4883: why haven't you upgraded? === 14WAAZ29V is now known as foxbuntu [19:36] rhpot1991, I laughed when you said "stop it" (after I found out it was a bot) hehehe [19:43] dewman: ya makes sense thats what happened, no idea how we got a rogue bot copy in here though [20:33] My mysql stopped to start during boot (upstart) after installing updates a couple of days ago. I have mysql-server 5.1.41-3ubuntu12.5 from lucid-proposed repository. [20:48] I enabled the lucid-proposed to get my Fuj:tech usb (af9015.fw) to work again. It work for a while (many days) until the recent mysql updates. [20:50] Manual start (sudo service mysql start) does MythTV to become "on the air". [22:13] hello [22:57] !ask | harrison [22:57] harrison: Please don't ask if anyone is around or if it is alright to ask a question. Many people check back periodically and may answer your question when they see it. IRC is not normally an instant fix so check back often for an answer. [22:58] Hi folks! I've got Ubuntu Hardy Heron running (and I don't want to upgrade for many reasons - and I've just upgraded my Mythtv server to .23 - the .21 client mythtv-frontend in the client no longer likes the server as the database schema has changed - any suggestions? [23:04] Got to take my son to soccer practise - I'll leave this channel live and read responses in an hour or two. Cheers, folks. [23:11] qwebirc82222: upgrade your frontends to match the backends, versions of mythtv are not compatible with other versions [23:12] qwebirc82222: you can check out the autobuilds, but I don't think we do 0.23 for hardy [23:12] !auto% | qwebirc82222 [23:12] qwebirc82222: Auto builds contain more recent bug fixes than the normal Ubuntu repository contains. See http://www.mythbuntu.org/auto-builds for more info. [23:15] rhpot1991, hardy only has 0.21
