Poserhmm01:46
Poseranyone try xubuntu 10.10?01:47
knomeyes, but you shouldn't update on it with machines that have to be usable01:50
Poseri have other os to use os/x google os and win701:51
knomei still can't suggest upgrading. if something breaks irreverably, you're on your own.01:52
knomeand you can't downgrade (x)ubuntu01:53
Poseri'm fine with that :p01:53
Poseri do have ubuntu as well01:53
knomeright. #ubuntu+1 for that discussion anyway, no user support is given yet for maverick01:54
Poseroh was just wondering if anyone used it and how does it compair to what xubuntu is now01:55
Poserjust curious not going to upgrade just yet :)01:55
knomeyou'd have better discussions about that at #ubuntu+1, really01:55
Poserok thx01:55

PMantisDoes anyone know of a default key sequence that will "shade" a window? There are several users that  come to us through the day wondering where their browser went. LOL16:50
PMantisI've scanned all users' ".config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfwm4.xml" files and double_click_action is set to maximize.16:51
charlie-tcaI did not think any keyboard shortcuts were assigned to "shade"16:57
densyshello16:58
charlie-tcaPMantis: Alt+F9 will minimize the windows, though16:59
charlie-tcaand that makes them appear to have disappeared16:59
charlie-tca!hi | densys16:59
ubottudensys: Hi! Welcome to #xubuntu! Feel free to ask questions and help people out. The channel guidelines are at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/IRC/Guidelines . Enjoy your stay!16:59
PMantischarlie-tca, Hmmm17:00
PMantischarlie-tca, Actually googling that bring up this page: http://www.xfce.org/documentation/4.2/manuals/xfwm417:00
PMantischarlie-tca, It says that At-F9 shades, too. That's interesting. Thanks17:00
charlie-tcaThat was the old shortcut, in 4.2. We are now using 4.617:01
PMantisOh?17:01
PMantisDo the others still apply?17:01
charlie-tcaXfce 4.2 used Alt+F9 to shade. You can see the current list in Applications -> Settings -> Settings Manager -> window Manager,17:02
charlie-tcaKeyboard17:02
charlie-tcathe shortcut was changed in Xfce 4.617:03
PMantisI'll check it out.17:03
charlie-tcaI believe 4.2 and 4.4 used it for shade, but 4.6 moved it to minimize17:03
PMantisOk, and I just confirmed that we're we're using 4.617:04
PMantisYeah, shade is not configured in "Keyboard" settings.17:05
PMantisScroll wheel still shades, of course the title bar button and the menu for "roll up" still shade. Is there any way to completely disable the shade feature?17:06
PMantisHmm, I can adjust the button layout...17:09

PMantisI can't find a way to configure the mouse scroll action over the title bar. I could see this confusing users.17:23
