Cimironoc: pong08:48
ronochi Cimi08:49
ronocI was speaking with chaotic yesterday and we noticed the rounded album art actually clips the album severely reducing its area by a bit too much08:49
Cimiyep08:49
ronocit also doesn't look square ?08:49
ronocI filed a bug08:50
* ronoc searches for bug no.08:50
CimiI haven't tried it yet08:50
ronocits in 0.4.1 which is in maverick08:50
ronocCimi: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/indicator-sound/+bug/62796208:56
ubot5Launchpad bug 627962 in The Sound Menu "album art not square (affected: 1, heat: 6)" [Low,Confirmed]08:56
ronocdo you have time to look at this ?08:56
Ciminot much time but if it's easy yes08:56
ronocCimi: no worries, let me know if you time to look at it, if not I will get around to it09:05
Cimironoc: for the moment no09:09
CimiI mean, if you can afford this it's better for me to work on my tasks09:09
Cimiat first glance it seems the area is wrong, at least you have to do a cairo_translate or draw 0.5px of offset09:10
ronocokay grand will take a look09:10
davidbarthCimi: Hi man, the new radiance is superb! ;)10:06
Cimithank you10:07
klattimerCimi: how about, having the application indicator spacing based on screen width10:43
klattimerit's useful that you can slide between them, and on a HUGE screen, I'd like a bigger target10:44
klattimeron a small screen it makes sense to use less spacing10:44
Cimicould be but i'm not the right man to ask those things :)10:45
klattimermeh. it's just and idea10:45
klattimer:)10:45
Cimiivanka: iainfarrell pls ask otto to come (he is working with the wallpaper)10:50

davidbarthCimi: hey man, kvalo just mentioned that on irc https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/light-themes/+bug/53849914:25
ubot5Launchpad bug 538499 in light-themes (Ubuntu) "warning spam on stdout: CRITICAL **: murrine_style_draw_box_gap: assertion `height >= -1' failed (affected: 104, heat: 492)" [Medium,Triaged]14:25
davidbarthCimi: which is an annoying bug for emacs users14:25
davidbarthCimi: the bug itself is not critical, but if you can think of a good way to get rid of it, millions of emacs users would thank you ;)14:26
Cimivi >> emacs14:26
Cimi(not true, just kidding :D )14:26
nigelbits true :p14:27
Cimiwell, I don't know where this bug comes from :D14:27
Cimidavidbarth: how can i reproduce it?14:34
CimiI have installe emacs14:34
davidbarthlaunch emacs from a terminal and you should see the error messages14:35
davidbarthCimi: ^^14:35
Cimiyep14:35
Cimino bug here14:35
Cimidavidbarth: ok, the bug is not reproduceable with the new light themes14:36
Cimiit seems it depends on GtkRange::trough-under-steppers = 014:36
Cimiwhich is used by old ambiance14:37
Cimibut, looking at the patch, sounds more like a bug in emacs itself14:37
Cimihttp://launchpadlibrarian.net/52700148/shut-up-warning.diff14:37
Cimithis is the patch in murrine, quite ugly14:38
davidbarthCimi: hmm, contract-based programming, no need to bother with the bozos, in a way ;)14:40
Cimidavidbarth: yeah but "it's not my problem" is not the answer I would like to give14:42
Cimiit's not professional14:46

bratscheHey htorque16:13
htorquehey16:13
bratscheDo you still get the errors that you described here?  https://bugs.launchpad.net/appmenu-gtk/+bug/62410016:13
ubot5Launchpad bug 624100 in appmenu-gtk (Ubuntu) "dbus_g_proxy_begin_call: assertion `!DBUS_G_PROXY_DESTROYED (proxy)' failed (affected: 1, heat: 495)" [Undecided,New]16:13
htorquejust checked it some minutes ago - i'm no longer seeing the dbus related critical warning but still the "drawable is not a pixmap or window" one16:14
bratschehtorque: Any chance you could build the branch I attached there and see if that fixes it?16:15
bratscheI'm not able to see either of the errors, so I don't know how to verify if it's fixed.16:15
htorquei can try to reproduce it on a maverick install i did some days ago - should be "cleaner"16:16
htorquebratsche, not seeing any of those two warnings with the fresh maverick install16:22
bratscheHmm.. I hate it when bugs mysteriously disappear. :)16:22
htorquebratsche, but on this machine i'm still at 0.1.7-0ubuntu116:22
htorquewill update16:22
* htorque off for a restart16:25
htorquebratsche, i purged and re-installed appmenu-gtk & co., and now i'm no longer seeing the warnings16:31
bratscheHmm, okay.16:31
bratschehtorque: Thanks very much!16:31
htorquebratsche, np - i think i will reinstall this system... don't wanna spam LP with bugs no one can reproduce ;)16:32
bratscheheh16:33
htorquebratsche, maybe i cannot reproduce those warnings anymore because the global nautilus menu doesn't seem to work right now (that i can reproduce on the other system). some menu items don't work at all while others trigger wrong functions.16:45
htorqueother applications work fine16:45
bratschehtorque: Uhh.. that's news to me.  What menu is working wrong?  I need to test this out. :)16:46
htorquebratsche, in a desktop session: eg. File -> Close does nothing, Go -> Template opens the Network folders properties16:48
bratscheFile -> Close in what app?16:49
htorquenautilus16:49
htorqueonly nautilus16:49
bratscheThat's working just fine for me.16:49
bratscheI just tried it.16:49
* bratsche reinstalls appmenu-gtk from apt16:49
bratscheYeah, I just reinstalled appmenu-gtk on my Meerkat laptop and Close still worked for me.16:50
htorquethat's weird cause i'm seeing this on two different systems16:51
bratschehtorque: Have you been running Unity inside a Gnome session by any chance?16:54
htorquewhen it was released, but only a couple of times - on the second system: no. but i have it installed on both machines.16:55
htorquebratsche, after logging out and logging in again, it seems to work just fine. if i can find a way to reliably reproduce it in a VM, i'll open a bug report17:03
bratschehtorque: seb128 was able to reproduce it, but it's because he sometimes runs Unity inside his Desktop session and they're both running on the same session bus.17:04
htorquei definitely haven't run unity inside a desktop session for the past months17:05
=== MacSlow is now known as MacSlow|break
htorquebratsche, try this: start a desktop session with the applet in the panel, start nautilus, close nautilus via the global menu, repeat this another three times, the fifth time you start nautilus, the global menu should only show "File Edit" - close nautilus, remove and re-add the applet, start nautilus -> now the complete global menu shows up but the menu items don't work or trigger wrong functions. i can reproduce this on two different systems and a18:00
htorqueVM and it seems to only affect nautilus. for your viewing pleasure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DarLUN8LmL818:00
bratscheAh, fucked up.  Thanks. :)18:02
htorquebratsche, another way (the way i initially triggered it, i guess): start a desktop session without the applet, open and close nautilus four times, add the applet, open nautilus -> same behavior18:03
htorqueheh, yeah, some nice weird bug18:03
bratscheThat's definitely got to be a bug in appmenu-gtk then.18:06
htorqueshould i open a bug report? if so, any additional files you want me to add?18:09
bratscheYeah, do you mind opening a bug against appmenu-gtk and assigning to me?18:10
htorquewill do18:10
bratscheThanks dude!18:12
htorquebratsche, apparently i can't assign anyone to a bug, see bug 62898318:31
ubot5Launchpad bug 628983 in appmenu-gtk (Ubuntu) "Nautilus: menu items not working or triggering wrong functions (affected: 1, heat: 6)" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/62898318:31
bratscheI took it.18:32
bratscheThanks!18:32
bratscheI'm going to go grab some lunch now though.18:32
bratschehtorque: After you open 5 Nautilus windows, are you just getting the "Desktop" menu or are you getting a normal Nautilus menu that just doesn't work right?19:26
htorquebratsche, with the applet present, the fifth time i open a window, it shows "File Edit", after removing and re-adding the applet i'm getting the normal menu, it just doesn't work19:28
bratschek19:28
